The Lodge

The Lodge was such a homely cosy place to stay. When i say it was clean, i mean it was clean! Comfortable, with everything you need. Hosts were very friendly. Great Breakfast and not one thing we didn't like.

Nothing, you can't beat it.

Beautiful room in a lovely house, close to town and the splendid park; friendly and helpful hosts; very comfortable - they had thought of everything. More than happy here - good price too.

Cannot think how it could be improved!

I stayed at the Lodge late August, having attended a wedding in the City. The hosts were very friendly, communicated well and provided helpful advice on alternative options of getting into the city centre. The room was very clean, spacious and bed comfortable and cosy. The bathroom was spotless with adequate lighting for make-up application. The Lodge was accessible to the city with a mere 15 minutes walk.

Welcomed warmly by Una who showed us to our room which was very clean, comfortable and well furnished with a lovely en-suite shower room. The little fridge with water was much appreciated by us and facility to make hot drinks also supplied. Although the property is situated on a road it did not disturb us and we had a good night’s sleep. Una gave us information on where we were in relation to the town centre and which way to walk to get there. She also mentioned a few eating places which we were happy with. Malcolm greeted us at breakfast in the morning and was very helpful in ensuring we had everything we wanted (although we didn’t have a full cooked breakfast so can’t comment on that) After checking out we left the car parked on the street opposite where it had been parked since we arrived and walked through the park again before leaving Kings Lynn. No time restrictions on parking on the road there which made things easy for us. The weather was good while we were there so OK for walking into town but you may want to drive or taxi if the weather is bad. It was ideal for our one night stay and would have no hesitation in staying again, and hopefully for a longer stay, if we are in Kings Lynn again. Tips: take one of the maps that is kindly supplied as we found it useful when walking back in a different direction. We walked through the lovely nearby park into town and it was much nicer than walking on the roadside.
