The location and the hosts

The garden was beautiful and the location was perfect for us. We really enjoyed the breakfast basket and being able to eat it in our own time in the room.

The breakfast was a great start to the day. Delicious. The added touches like bathrobes, slippers and loose leaf tea made us feel like very special guests. Our hosts gave us great Texel tips. Hospitality at its finest.

The ambiance is superb, the hosts are doing everything to make you feel comfortable. Every morning they perform a different magic breakfast.

Ground floor rooms can be a bit cold when its cold outside.

Breakfast was extensive and more than enough for the two of us. Each morning it was a surprise what they'd prepared for us. The room was more like a small apartment and everything was perfectly clean. The owners are very nice and attentive when needed, but left us alone when we wanted our peace. I liked the self-service of replacing our glasses, dishes, cutlery and towels. The tub was large enough to fit two large adults and incredibly comfortable. Shower pressure was great as well. The 'bedstee' (a typical Dutch bed box) wasn't overly warm and spacious enough for us. The provided fan was really nice on hot nights. On sunny days you can relax in the large garden and eat at one of the picknick tables. On a rainy day we sat inside the small tea house and on the comfortable lounge set underneath a small roof in the garden. They offer a pretty extensive DVD and book library for those who like to relax on the couch for a night. The area gets really quiet, especially at night, so it was a great BnB to wind down and catch up on rest. You can reserve a Texelhopper bus to arrive and leave almost from in front of the BnB. In walking distance are multiple restaurants and cafes, souvenir shops and the bird expedition centre. It's also a great location to start your bike or walking tour from.

The duvet covers seemed to be synthetic and compared to the heat weren't incredibly comfortable. But that was honestly the only thing that wasn't perfect about our stay. Also, mosquitoes! Be sure to pack your deet and do a round of swatting before bedtime.

The bed was small and so was the duvet. The pillows and mattress were uncomfortable.
