House was as clean as it could be but mould in bathroom and very patchy paintwork cracks in doors, rickety, it all felt very cheap

Not a cottage for a starters, in the middle of the high street but maybe that’s our fault for not checking as we booked for my brothers wedding, no free parking at property unless you go to a parallel road which wasn’t suitable for us, VERY unsafe stairs with a gap in the stairs between adjoining rooms, toilet lid fell back onto you was all very cheap and strange, we all nearly fell various times down the stairs, we was bringing my 4 year old who is autistic and he couldn’t actually stay because the stairs were so unsafe so my partner had to also leave, the windows had no locks and they was very large and easy for my son to access and he’d have simply fallen out, garden was rickety and dirty with various rubbish such as tubs of paint, dirty socks, dirty used ashtray all within reach, random planks of wood. We may as well have gone travel lodge and been cheaper and better value and better service to be completely honest would not recommend at all. When we told the company this they were unhelpful and uninterested in helping us in anyway and didn’t care that the property was unsafe for my son. We only remained where we were as we had a wedding or we would’ve found alternative accommodation. Also very sneaky and in tiny small print needs a £299 deposit as well as paying £380 to stay absolutely extortionate and unheard of to pay that much.

Great location! It is a classic British house with the quirks and charm necessary. Loved the huge bathroom and tub. The staff is awesome!!!

I loved it.

Great space for our young family of five that was clean and well presented! The beds were super comfortable and we were provided with towels and extra blankets. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed to cook meals, including basic items in the kitchen like washing up liquid, dish washer tablets etc. The Team who manage the property were friendly and helpful in making sure we had a fab stay. Will be booking again next time we visit family!

Wood burning stoves in situ but no fuel provided. However the cottage is warm.
