This was our second time staying in Filey and we absolutely loved the location of this property. It was much closer to the pub, which was fantastic, and really convenient for us. The apartment itself was spacious for a one-bedroom property, clean, modern and very well kept. The bedroom and, most importantly, the bed were extremely comfortable, which made for a great night’s sleep.

There were just a couple of things that could be improved. The dishwasher didn’t seem to close properly. The top rack appears to be broken or sticking out, meaning the door wouldn’t close properly and we had to try several times before getting it to shut. We also couldn’t seem to get the induction hob to work properly. I’m used to induction hobs myself, but despite switching it on at the main plug, we couldn’t get the hob to respond when trying to select the cooking zone and temperature. It may be worth checking that it’s working correctly for future guests. One other thing that would have been a lovely touch would be a small welcome pack. There were quite a few of us staying in Filey, and some of our family members had booked other cottages which provided little welcome baskets with things like biscuits, tea and coffee. It doesn’t need to be anything big or fancy, but a small welcome pack would make the stay feel that little bit more special and welcoming.

The beach access was lovely

The Bay itself only had one restaurant open and most of the activities were not running so there was not a lot going on to entertain my little ones.

The apartment was beautiful, real home from home. It had everything you needed in there and was very very clean.

Everything was spot on, only from a personal perspective, we like to go for a walk to local shops and get food etc to give our neurodivergent child a break. Everything was contained on site which is absolutely brilliant but we will know for next time to come prepared!

The property was lovely and clean. The kitchen was well equipped to cook. It’s modern and cosy. The beds were very comfortable.

There was no cleaning supplies. It would have been nice to be able to clean up a little without having to purchase. It said there were toiletries but there was nothing, so had to go and purchase. It would have been nice to have some blankets available, and there was no matteress for the travel cot- I had to drive into Bridlington to buy a new travel cot which cost me money I didn’t really want to spend.
