Hotel close to restaurants and reasonable walking distance from public transportation and parks

Very good location in Poblado, next to supermarkets, coffee shops, restaurants etc. The room was modern with a modern bathroom too. Breakfast was tasty and you could choose from a menu. The staff were very nice and welcoming.

The shower was dirty with long hairs in the floor and the drain. The window was to a corridor, so it was not private and the noise was coming in. A bed-side table is needed as you haven’t any place to put water, phone or anything.

The rooms were very spacious and had great natural lighting. There was a also a small kitchenette and a mini-fridge in case you want to cook for yourself. Everything in the room worked great, including the air conditioner. There was a free breakfast here and it was much better than most other similarly priced hotels; you could choose from 4 or 5 different options (including a yogurt and fruit bowl, eggs, arepas, and french toast if I recall) and it also came with coffee and juice. The staff was friendly and helpful, and some of them spoke English. The location was great; right in the heart of the Manila neighborhood, walking distance from countless cafes, restaurants, and bars. And the price was very fair for what you received.

The only minor annoyance was the front door always being locked and having to wait for a staff member to come and open it for you. It's good that the hotel is secure like that, but it would be nice if there was a code or key fob something so that guests could enter on their own without having to wait or bother the staff.

The room itself was very new. Good shower. Good bed. Location of the hotel is nice and the area is lovely.

Lack of customer service and hospitality training of the staff. Everything needed to be triple checked and reminded. No proactivity at all. For example, we ordered a pickup from the airport due to very late arrival, and 3 hours before that we receive a message on when we are arriving. If the WiFi didn't work at the airport who knows if we would be picked up. Also, it still stated on the hotel page that the breakfast was available to purchase but in reality the restaurant was under construction. When we asked if we could have breakfast, we just got a reply "no" lol. Also, there is an obligatory cleaning of the room every day. Usually we only ask to change towels because we don't like the presence of the other people in the room. The staff moved our things that were on the bed or in the bathroom for example, it definitely didn't add a feeling of safety. Basically, very new rooms were the only positive part of the stay.
