CIH Apartments

First time in this part of the island. Very nice accommodation and really nice pool and leisure space beside pool. Only 8 apartments and while we were there we only had one other family using the pool! Easy access and good communication with proprietor. Nice location in a really nice area. Felt very safe.

For us it was probably too far away from the main area of PDC but not an expensive taxi to get anywhere. A few things to note. You do not get the apartment serviced unless you stay more than 7 days without incurring additional cost if you want fresh towels. Also you need to be careful with exit time and time of plane departure. Exited at 12pm but our flight was not until 6pm. There was no option to hold bags except leaving them in an unattended laundry room and no facilities to shower, if you wanted to sunbathe and relax before leaving. Not necessarily a criticism but something to be aware of.

This spot was absolutely perfect for us. The spot is quiet, but close to the beach and a small grocer and some restaurants. A ~30 minute walk to the busier more lively Puerto del Carmen meant we weren't in the middle of the crazy tourists and had quiet at home, but had access to the party for the couple of nights we went. The apartment had pretty much everything needed. We had a car as well, which I think is probably strongly recommended for this location though not strictly necessary.

To be clear, we loved the place, these are just some criticisms that may help other people making medium length stays make their decision: The kitchen is a little lacking in terms of equipment, e.g. the knife is dull, there was no drying rack for dishes. The couch cushion slipped a lot, so the couch should probably be replaced at some point for better comfort especially for more than 2 guests. There weren't enough towels for the two of us for 9 days.

Apartment was very modern and close to bars and restaurants but yet in a quiet area. Pool was really nice and small complex with only 8 apartments.

Wifi had a poor signal but that didn't bother us to much.

The beds were comfy and the staff responded quickly to requests

1 tiny teatowel, no hand towel in the kitchen, no condiments salt, pepper some oil for cooking, the pool area could have done with being cleaned every morning, the terrace mattress looks inviting but are hard to get on and off, would have preferred normal sunbeds
