Was a nice winter getaway. Amazing view in firepit and hot tub.

This property is beautifully tucked away alongside pristine Moon river.. views from different areas of the cottage are stunning! We enjoyed daily walks along the quiet country roads and ended up lighting a fire outside with hot chocolate and plenty of stories! Inside you can also enjoy the ambiance of a wooden fireplace which was important to us.. The place was open concept kitchen.. leading to the cozy living area.. The two downstairs bedrooms overlook the stunning water and each have their own unique washrooms!

The long beautiful road takes you to a stunning, peaceful and quite place. The KITCHEN.. amazing! The view is by far the best with the sound of moon river all Night long. Cant go wrong with this place.

Our extended Family gathered for one week including 93 year old grand mother, aunt and uncle, cousins, adult children and grand children all enjoyed this beautiful space, the bunkies, the water front and the quiet surroundings..
They offered and included everything we needed however, those hot late afternoons could have used much stronger air conditioning flow and of course, the satellite strength was very frustrating along with the internet capacity. Those amenities could definitely be improved upon..
Beyond those concerns, the drive-in is an experience landing at this beautiful cottage location not far from Bala. Everyone must try the bakery and a trip to Port Carling was a delightful afternoon with a 2 hour cruise.
Overall, we had a great week and hopefully, technology improvements catches up to this unique cottage for the coming months ahead.

I can't say enough about our stay at Waters Edge. It was everything we'd hoped for and then some. The facilities were top notch. Although it lacked a beach, the 5 kids really enjoyed swimming and diving off the dock. They also caught numerous (small) fish off the dock as well. The canoe, kayaks and were paddle board were well used. The natural beauty was breathtaking. Any contact we had with Jakub was answered and dealt with promptly. I could go on and on but I'm sure by now you get the gist of what I'm saying. Truly a GEM!

The property is gorgeous. Beautiful views. Pristine lake. Very nice home. Huge kitchen. Lots of space for our big family. Owner very responsive to any request or question. Shawn (the handyman) was outstanding and always willing to help. Town of Bala about 10 minutes from home. Bring your bug spray! Mosquitos/flies were very bad at times. Canoes were a lot of fun. Easy swimming and fishing off new dock. Very secluded, which we loved! Wi-Fi is not great, if that’s important to you. Great star gazing on the dock. Highly recommend this property.
