We have had a wonderful stay at Shady Point Resort while renting “The Boathouse”. The open kitchen area and bathroom are renovated and were sparkling clean! The bedrooms are typical cottage small bedrooms and suited our needs perfectly. Sheets were oh-so-clean (!!!). They are apparently sent out for cleaning, hence the freshness without chemicals. We have asked (due to our allergies) for the cottage to be cleaned without using strong chemicals – and so it was! THANK YOU Andy for taking care of that!!! Now Andy – he is the heart of this resort and the owner, Mo, made a right decision hiring him as the property manager. He is everything one would want from great manager – helpful, responsive, always taking care of things around the property and so likeable that he makes you feel like he is an old friend and one feels they were always coming to this place even though it was our first time lol! Certainly and hopefully not the last(!). Bonus accommodations include : free use of kayaks, paddling boards, tubes and lovely long deck for sunbathing or fishing and tandem bike. Last, but not least – ahhhhhhhhhh – the SAUNA(!) with wood burning sauna stove (easy to heat up with wood purchased right next to the office). We stayed 3 nights, used sauna TWICE because it was so fantastic! Perfect vacation spot with everything one needs when going to the cottage – and more(!). Thank You Andy for making our vacation so perfect and Thank You Mo for giving us the opportunity to use Your place

The home and its surrounding were ideal for those who want to relax and enjoy nature. The Host (Andy) and other people we met to include other "cottagers" were extremely friendly and helpful. We even had an unexpected evening delivery of firewood (free of charge) while sitting around the camp fire. On Saturday, there was a Karaoke that was enjoyed by many to include our group. My kids (in their 30s) even met new friends and stayed out late enjoying the campfire with their new friends. Highly recommended.
