What a gorgeous place with a marvelous pool and view. Two couples and my mother in law enjoyed the house. Views out of this world and a great location close to multiple beaches, dining options etc. Not to be missed!

Lovely 12 nights at Cactus House. Lava the driver was there to meet us from the airport and waited whilst we got provisions at local supermarket. He also put us in contact with Andy who arranged excursions for us. There were issues with the internet during our stay but Hazel the housekeeper contacted the provider FLOW to make sure it was sorted asap. Both Hazel and Lava were very helpful during our stay. The villa has beautiful views over Jolly Beach and is very spacious. Would recommend a car as after a long day at the beach it’s quite a climb up hill. Would stay at Cactus House if we visited Antigua again.

My family, friends and I (8) stayed at the Cactus House May 5-12, 2023. (Off-season, fewer crowds which was nice, but also, lobster was out of season, which was a bummer). When we were researching places to stay in Antigua, Cactus House caught our attention right away! We researched further, and found that all the reviews were great and ultimately reserved. Roger was great to work with always responded quickly to any questions that I had prior to our arrival. Upon our arrival, we were met by Hazel and Dionne, who gave us a tour of the house and provided all the ins and outs of the property. It was comforting to know that Hazel was also available for any questions or concerns we had throughout our visit. We found the house to be very spacious, clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. Starter packs of TP, juice, water, hand soap, etc were much appreciated. We had read about mosquitoes, but found very few. Driveway/steps to house are very steep, but our group was able to navigate them and it provided a nice workout when returning with groceries! We especially enjoyed our mornings and evenings on the deck. Location is within walking distance to a few restaurants and beaches. In addition, a well-stocked grocery store in Jolly Harbor, with a liquor store onsite. We chose not to rent a car, and were very happy with that decision once we arrived to the island! We utilized Lava’s transport services to travel to distant locations and the grocery store. If it wasn’t for Lava, we would not have been able to experience as much as we did. So thankful for his kindness, professionalism and knowledge! He was absolutely wonderful and we can’t speak more highly of him! He is a treasure! If you’re looking for a wonderful family-friendly property with breathtaking views, beautiful pool, and proximity to stunning beaches and delicious food, look no further than the Cactus House! You won’t be disappointed! We would love to return!

Our family had an amazing stay at Cactus House. Beautiful house with stunning views. Perfect location - lots of great restaurants and beaches. Roger and the house manager Hazel were very helpful hosts and made the stay lovely. Can’t wait to come back!

Group of 8 friends had a wonderful time at Cactus House. Prior to arrival, communication with Roger was great who provided detailed information about the house and local area. The pool area was perfect for sunbathing and enjoying the view over Jolly Harbour bay. The house is within walking distance of a number of restaurants, bars, a supermarket, and beaches. We particularly enjoyed Jolly Beach and the Pop-Up Beach Bar. Hazel was on hand throughout our stay to answer any questions we had and Lava was always on hand to take us to various trips about the island. Antigua is a beautiful island and I would fully recommend Cactus House to anybody looking for a spacious, well equipped villa.

House is a hidden gem in beautiful location. The team at Cactus House were a pleasure to work with, so wonderful and incredibly hospitable from confirmation of our booking to arrival. House has everything you could possibility need for holiday with family. Stunning infinity pool overlooking turquoise water, outdoor balcony where we ate during the majority of our stay, BBQ and small outdoor area for children to play. Property is just a short stroll to many amazing Restaurant/Bars, including Grocery Store if you should need supplies and Jolly Harbor Beach. We were provided a list of recommendations from Roger after booking which assisted us in having an amazing holiday! We had lunch at Sheer Rocks, day at Ffryes Beach and Dinner at Al Porto. All we highly recommend. Had a spectacular time at Shirley Heights but suggest getting there earlier than 4pm to grab a rum punch and secure a spot to view the amazing sunset as it was very busy Sunday. AMENITIES We were greeted upon arrival to a clean home with beach towels, each bedroom/bath had linens, towels, bottled water and toilet paper. Kitchen fully equipped with pots/pans, cutting boards, cups, utensils, toasters, coffee pot, and so much more. Wi-fi available throughout the home without issue. Washer/Dryer. HOUSE Bedrooms on 2nd level, 2 with pool/water views. All bedrooms have a nicely updated bath. Half bath by pool. Upstairs 3rd level is open and inviting with vaulted ceiling, living room, kitchen, and several doors opening to the outdoors. Loved the layout and enjoyed every minute on the balcony. Tile everywhere which makes it easy to keep clean. Felt very safe with or without locking gated front entry. TRANSPORTATION We were able to organize transportation with Lava during our stay. Easy to schedule via WhatsApp. Took us everywhere we requested including Shirley Heights. Always arrived early and always available. Highly recommend instead of renting a vehicle but note it is a little pricey. Would absolutely recommend Cactus House and stay again.

Great location in Jolly Harbor area on a hill with great ocean views. It's really close proximity to several great beaches and has a nice kitchen an outdoor dining area for eating and relaxing in the evening. I would definitely recommend for those looking for a nice relaxing home rental in Antigua.

Our family just stayed at Cactus House and had a wonderful vacation. The house is well situated on a hill with gorgeous views of Jolly harbor and the beautiful Caribbean sea yet still providing the ability to walk to several restaurants, beaches and groceries. The house is as beautiful as the pictures show. Roger was easy to communicate with and diligent in returning inquiries. The information packet he provides is thorough and informative. We took some of the suggestions noted in the packet and were very pleased. Have Tracey from Big Head Lobster prepare an in home dinner to fully enjoy the setting of Cactus House while dining on some of the best Caribbean food you will have. The very pleasant property manager Hazel was readily available for any questions or needs. Lava the driver prioritizes Cactus House guests and will insure someone is available, if not him, to take you where you need to go. He's pleasant, professional and a pleasure to ride and converse with. We highly recommend Cactus House!!

The whole house was immaculate and so spacious and had everything you could possibly need for a very comfortable holiday. The lower deck was perfect for sunbathing and the 'Infinity pool' was just amazing for cooling down while soaking up the the most incredible views over the Caribbean sea. Hazel was a lovely lady & so helpful with information on everything to use in house and places to visit. Thanks for the complimentary taxi you laid on for us from and back to the airport made, it made life so relaxing after the flight. The house was clean, bright, and obviously well cared for right from the front door. The views from the pool deck were beautiful as well... also... what a great pool! Perfect size! Great views right from the water. We visited three beaches all within 15 minutes drive and a few that were within only a couple of minutes, all of them were great swimming beaches. Big Head Lobster is right at the bottom of the driveway, I had the best Curried Goat of my life! The fish and chips were amazing and so was the stuffed pork chop. Friendly place with great food and hosts, don't hesitate to dine in or take out. Hazel was attentive, friendly, and always just a short text away if we had any questions. All in all this was a great trip in a beautiful location. Cactus house is going to be our first choice the next time we come down. Thanks Roger and Hazel. C, N, A, and P

We had a one week stay in Cactus House at the beginning of August 2022. The house is very spacious, with wonderful views and the swimming pool was really great. It is very well equipped and nothing was too much trouble for Hazel, the house manager. I would recommend getting a hire car whilst you are there, as although the supermarket is only a 10-15 min walk, it is very hot! We highly recommend Cactus House and hope to return before too long!

Cactus Villa is stunning to look at and sits in the perfect location with an amazing view. The 4 couples enjoyed the spacious outdoor area and wonderful pool. Easily walkable to JollyHarbour for groceries and wine and also easy to walk to the beaches. Valley Church Beach was amazing and very quiet . Thanks to Lava for driving us around the island and taking us to the Shirley Heights Party night. We also had a wonderful sailing trip on Camelot sailed by Christian. Wonderful vacation!,

A group of 7 of us came out to Antigua for my birthday. Such a beautiful house and location. The views from all over the house are breathtaking. Samantha and Hazal were extremely helpful with any questions we had and so kind! Roger was also very responsive through email. There is a short, steep hill to walk up to the house but we thought of it as our work out on the trip haha. Grocery store is about a 10 min walk and the beach about 15, not far at all.

From start to finish we had a wonderful experience with a Roger and at the Cactus House. Leading up to the trip we had 100 questions and Roger patiently and promptly responded to ALL of them. He connected us to a WONDERFUL and very affordable personal chef (Tracey Holness) who was priceless and a network of drivers (Lava was our point of contact) who helped us make the most of our stay since we chose not to rent a car. Each person we encountered was just so nice, helpful and accommodating. The house was GORGEOUS and exactly as pictured. The pool was EVERYTHING! An we’ll-sized, infinity pool with naturally warm water…I will never stay anywhere that doesn’t have one now! The only note I have is that there is no air conditioner on the top floor of the house so it gets pretty hot BUT you’re meant to be on the balcony and have all of the French doors open. We didn’t always do that so it did get warm. It was fully equipped…we didn’t need to buy anything but the groceries. Even plenty of beach towels and umbrellas! There were 5 adults in our group and the house was more than enough space for us. Each bedroom having a full bathroom was priceless as was the bathroom off the pool area so we could keep the house free of sand. Everything was really clean and well-appointed. Once on island any questions we had or arrangements we needed were promptly responded to by Hazel (such a nice lady!) who was the property manager. I really can’t say enough…I was really worried about traveling during COVID but this experience was the best trip I’ve ever had. Antigua is a BEAUTIFUL country with stunning beaches and great people, and I’m so glad I got to experience it. People were wearing masks and, in fact, whenever we slipped up someone quickly, but ALWAYS respectfully reminded us…we felt safe! I’ve been recommending Antigua, the house (Roger and Hazel), Tracey, and Lava to everyone I know who is thinking about a vacation!! Thank you ALL for making this such a memorable experience (and truly a VACATION) for us!

The cactus house is a wonderful well maintained and outfitted property. Roger is a great host and responds quickly to any questions or concerns. Unless you have mobility issues, don’t hesitate to rent the villa. We look forward to returning next year as we throughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you Roger!!!

My family and I just had the pleasure of staying at Cactus house for 10 days. From the off, Roger was a BRILLIANT communicator - he gave us so much information and with so much obvious passion for the house and Antigua. We have visited Antigua numerous times and this is by far our favourite location. All the convenience of Jolly Harbour and the many nearby restaurants, activities and other facilities but without the hordes of mosquitoes that we’ve always found to inhabit Jolly Harbour. (I’m not saying there are no mosquitoes up at Cactus House but we were bitten a lot less than at the houses we stayed at in Jolly Harbour!) First off, this was the first time that we didn’t hire a car at the airport. It was SO nice to be collected in a nice air-con car/mini van. Lava was so friendly and helpful - it was a fantastic way to kick everything off. (No arguments about how to get to the house and one of us being ‘sure’ that we remembered the way!!) At the house we were greeted by lovely Hazel who showed us around the house and how everything worked. Then that was us set!.. we jumped straight into that gorgeous pool with the gorgeous view before popping down to the Epicurean shop to get groceries. (In the past when we’ve stayed in other places, the initial shopping excursion was quite a THING because you can be so far away from a decent shop!) The air-con in the bedrooms is VERY efficient and the combination of the ceiling fans and having the upstairs doors open keeps the upper level of the house a comfortable temperature too. Wifi was very good and genuinely unlimited too. So important when you have teens in the house and someone who still needs to connect for work. The household book is super useful and, even though we have been to Antigua many times, we still found lots of useful info. You MUST try Big Head Lobster at the bottom of the road!! DELICIOUS!! We used Lava a few times to take us to further away lunches and each time he was wonderful, friendly and courteous. The house kitchen is very well stocked with crockery, cutlery etc for those that like to eat at home some of the time. The fridge and freezer are a good size too and there are a couple of freezer packs and a couple of ice boxes for if you want to take a picnic to the beach. There are plentiful pool towels too. Overall we had an amazing time and can definitely recommend Cactus House.

Our recent stay at Cactus House was a dream come true. The owner, Roger, has thought of every amenity to make his home feel like your own while you are staying there. He was also very quick to respond to my every question no matter how trivial. The house itself is beautiful and located just perfect for a couple like us that likes to walk and explore the surroundings. There are restaurants very close to the house. Our favorite was Big Head Lobster, we ate there 4 nights and enjoyed it each time. There are also several beaches within walking distance. No pictures you take of the beaches will do them justice. They are all beautiful. However, if your ideal vacation is just relaxing by the pool you will be equally impressed. The view from the balcony is breathtaking and anyone could be happy not even leaving the property. I have read all the previous reviews written and I agree with each perfect one and I wish there were more complimentary words I could say about this magnificent homeThe support staff of Hazel, the estate manager and Lava the driver only added more to our amazing vacation. Hazel. Is so kind and available to help with any need that arises and Lava is very friendly as well. He took us on a sightseeing tour and any other place we wanted to be. He is very knowledgeable of all things Antigua. Our stay at this home and it’s surrounding area; the people; food and culture of the island made us fall in love with Antigua. We do hope to return soon and I wish everyone I know could experience the same wonderful time we had. Stay at Cactus House. You will love it!!!

My family had a terrific stay at Cactus house, the facilities, location and support from the property manager were spot on for our needs. The swimming pool and terraces were highlights. We were very pleased to have our own space rather than staying in a resort or hotel.
