The staff were amazing but the room was moldy. The hallways smelled terribly of mold and there was not a mattress pad on the bed and no washcloths were given. The bathroom fan was louder than a freight train. The service was so nice and helpful. Added bonus were bikes, chairs ,towels and wagons.

UPDATE: The hotel charged an extra $100 which wasn’t disclosed at check-in (it was supposed to be a credit card hold.) Upon check out, I was charged and told this was the resort fee which was never mentioned on booking’s website or if you go to the property website and try to book directly. Hotel said to contact booking to resolve. Cleanliness/size of room. Room was small and while nothing can be done about that, I would not stay again because of the cleanliness of the floors/bathroom. The location is great and size of room wouldn’t be a deal breaker with a few easy fixes. Rooms need a deep clean/vacuum and floors need mopping after every stay. There was sand and mold everywhere on the room floor and in the shower. Staying with a toddler this was a turn off and his feet were black. For 500/night housekeeping should be able to vacuum/mop floors and deep clean the corners of the showers. I gave this place a shot because a lot of the old negative reviews were from the previous owners. I hope the new owners take the reviews to heart and clean it up. It’s one of the only hotels on the island/in Ocean Beach, but I think if I were to return I’d rent a house. Shame because I prefer the convenience of a hotel!

Lack of organization- not cleaned consistently . There wasn't any surfaces in the two tiny rooms so I couldn't put anything down. There wasn't a closet or hooks either
