Yaarl Hostels

Yaarl hostels is a gem. To me, it has the best breakfast from any hostel that I have stayed at. Also it has the best (complementary) gym from any hostel or hotel that I have stayed at. All this is topped off by the friendly and fun-oriented staff. I highly recommend this hostel!

Good price, clean, fridge

I had to leave early in the morning, I needed to take my stuff from the fridge, but the kitchen was closed and no one opened it for me.

Stayed at Yaarl Hostel and had a pleasant experience overall. The location is great and very convenient. We took the family room, which was quite big and spacious, making it comfortable for a family stay. Check-in and check-out were easy and smooth, which made the stay hassle-free. One of the highlights is that it’s within walking distance to Malayan Cafe, making it easy to grab meals anytime. Overall, a good stay with a great location and spacious rooms. Would consider staying again.

One area that could be improved is the washroom cleanliness, as it could have been cleaned better. However, this was not a showstopper and didn’t take away much from the overall experience.

Great and helpful staff. Room was decent (family room with private washroom) but private washroom was dirty. Sewage water coming from drain (upper floor) made it smell really bad. No hot water, even if there is a small boiler but this didn’t work. There was no blanket or sheet to sleep under. Looking at other reviews maybe i was there at a bad time, because also the included breakfast was not more than white bread, butter and jam. Only tea, no coffee (because we Sri Lankan people don’t drink coffee….). All together it was very minimal for a relatively high price. Staff was friendly but rest was minimal.
