Good location
Friendly staff
Close to tram station
No breakfast included
Slow internet
No parking
Not entire room was clean (the area under bed or aound radiator was extremely dirty)
Not heat source in bathroom (bathroom was always very very cold)
No heating in room the first night (we discussed this with the staff and it was fixed in a few hours)
A lot of mold on the walls (this is quite serious as it's a health hazzard. staff came and removed the mold with a cloth)
Shower has no door and the curtain is always in the way

Het was dicht bij de trouwlocatie van onze zoon en schoondochter.
Jammer dat er geen ontbijt was en dat de ontbijt ruimte afgesloten was ook om er gewoon te zitten om vb een spelletjes te doen.

Good location, Jumbo market just 100m away, an Albert Heijn market about 10 minutes walk.
Museumplein too is in walking distance.
Easy access to public transportation, tram line no. 2 is passing in front of the hotel.
You can use bus line no 397 from\to the airport.
The hotel is good if you don't travel with children or aged people.
- Room was so small. I reserved a double room to find myself -I think- in small single room.
A friend of mine came to stay with me and he reserved a double room, bigger than mine and with a small balcony for less than what I already paid!
That makes me question what booking.com says about "Best price guaranteed"
I'm not talking about small difference, I paid nearly 100 euros per night, while my friend paid only 63 e for better room!
- When I asked them to change my room twice, but wasn't possible.
- Stairs are really dangerous.
- The rooms are not soundproof.

Hotel direkt neben Tram Station.

Great little room with view, amazing staff, great location, all you need
Council/city tax, but can’t be helped.

The location in relation to the public transport is perfect
That they were painting the stairwell during busy hours for guests

The location is good
There was a mouse in the room. The beds are really bad. The sun faced our room window directly so it got sauna hot even though it was not so warm outside, however the windows cannot be opened and there is no AC. The room was really like a sauna.
The doors feel like paper so you hear everything that is happening in the entire building (even people going to the toilette)
I would recommend going a bit more outside of the city and find better hotels. This one was really bad.

Friendly staff and lovely location
Very basic rooms, shower was awful and the room could have done with some basic tidying you/maintaining/paint.
But super quiet, safe location and great to have a balcony

Location was perfect for me!
The only system for cooling the room was a table fan. Something more potentially would have been preferred.

Overall a good one night stay. The room is very small but has everything one might need. The bed was comfortable. The hotel is situated on a lovely street a bit further away from touristic busy areas. Staff were very friendly. I can see why bad soundproofing (I could literally hear another guest's snoring above me ahaha) and challenging steep stairs can be an issue but for me personally for one night it was totally ok.
The connection to the city center is very convenient.
The shower drain that was not working properly - the water wouldn't go down fast enough so if I took a shower, I'd have to stand in the pool of water to brush my teeth. By the morning the water was gone.

The location is great. The staff is friendly. Water kettle in the room gets extra bonus points.
The guests are noisy at night and the walls are thin. Our room was poorly lit and missing a lamp. Our room seemed a bit run down overall. Someone had taken a shower in our room shortly before I checked in, and a wet towel was lying on the bed.

LOCATION
Loved the location on Koninginneweg as well as the general neighborhood near the southwest end of Vondelpark, which I got to experience during a 2 hr. late morning stroll. At the time of our stay, Koninginneweg was being repaired so there was some construction noise (drilling, hammering, engine noise, crashing of metal plates). On the other hand, the Line 2 trams which normally circulate in front of the hotel were diverted to De Lairessestraat/Valeriusplein, making it very quiet at night. Your experience may therefore be different than ours.
STAFF
The staff, Titi and Leticia, were cheery, friendly and efficient. Our train was departing late in the afternoon and Titi let us leave our luggage at the hotel, which gave us the freedom to wander around the city without backpacks and suitcases in tow. We also want to thank Jose, who was in charge of cleaning our room & bathroom. Everything was spotless.
BREAKFAST
Excellent selection of feta/gouda/blue cheeses, various cereals, breads, olives, tomatoes, orange juice. The omelettes prepared by Titi and Leticia were delicious.
There was nothing we didn't like, but the building is a bit old, the stairs to the second and third floors are narrow and steep, which may make it difficult for people who have mobility issues or who are physically challenged. There is no elevator (lift, Aufzug). The bathroom was immaculate but it was not new. I don't remember if the toilet had a slow close/quiet close cover. We did hear one or two other guests who had a loud conversation or were carrying heavy bags to their room. Otherwise, it was very quiet and pleasant.

Very friendly staff, always going the extra mile to help out.
We stayed for 9 nights, during New Year’s, and of course, things happened, but the staff was always willing to solve any issue promptly.
We found breakfast to be perfect (not included in the nightly fee); enough choices, healthy, tasty and fresh.
The location is wonderful; very close to the tram that takes you almost everywhere in Amsterdam; also, sometimes we walked instead of taking the tram. Just 1.5 km. or so from Van Gogh Museum, etc.
The facility, like most buildings in Amsterdam, is an old (and beautiful) building, therefore there’s no elevator and you’ll find the typical Dutch staircases; also, it can be noisy. Not the hotel’s fault although a kind reminder to guests to keep this in mind could be helpful.
The tram just outside the building is under construction, therefore access to the hotel by car is closed for the time being. Not an issue for us though.
Just two blocks away, there are many nice restaurants, supermarket, bakeries, coffees …
Water pressure and temperature in the shower was surprisingly nice!
We loved our stay there and we will certainly stay there again next time we visit Amsterdam.
There’s a small coffee machine in the room, coffee bags, tea bags, etc.
A kind reminder to guests that - since it’s an old building, everyone needs to be respectful and mind other guests’ sleep- would probably be helpful.

Extremely clean, the most lovely and caring reception staff I’ve ever met, location was exceptional, the tram was only just down the road which takes you all over Amsterdam. Our room was huge.
The only minor issues were that the beds were a tiny bit bad on my back and the stairs to our room were an absolute hike, no problem if you don’t have big bags, but If you’re like us, good luck. The stairs are pretty much unavoidable in Amsterdam though, you’ll be lucky to find a hotel without similar to these.

We had a warm welcome. The room was well furnished.
They offer vegan options like almond milk for breakfast.
It is quiet after 10pm, before you can hear the planes departing and arriving from the airport Schiphol.
Grocery, restaurants, Vondelpark and the museums are just nearby or a short walk away.

In a beautiful area but also Quite a long way from the centre.

The staff has been kind, the room was clean, the position good thanks to the close tram stop.
The price is crazy compared to the room (180€ per night). The room was really small, the mattress screwed up and the small sink in the bathroom practically unusable because of a shelf hanging between it and the mirror.
