Cape Diem Lodge

Schön restaurierter Altbau von 1888 mit viel Charme. Sehr nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal. Sehr gut ausgestattete Zimmer. Auto konnte in der hauseigenen Garage geparkt werden. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Da es ein Altbau ist, war es ziemlich hellhörig.

A great boutique hotel experience. The staff were warm, friendly, and genuinely proactive, and they took care of every request I had. Samuel and Bob were like family helping me to plan my travels. They even offered early breakfast ( take-away) for long travels. Other staff also were friendly but i did not get their names. The garage parking was a real bonus: spacious and secure. The food was delicious and great. I enjoyed the bread so much I believe it was a high quality , it made me start the day feeling good. Chakalaka beans were tasty as well.

Nothing major I understand it is a lodge and it suppose to be like this , I just have a few small touches that would make a great stay even better: a little more sound insulation, key card or keypad entry, and a wider menu with some local dishes.

The property was very central, right around the corner you get good coffee shops and restaurants and very close to the Waterfront. The room was beautiful and spacious, the extra touches like the afternoon tea was great. Breakfast and coffee was very good.

Location was so close to everything you want to see in Cape Town. Liked there was free parking. The staff that work there are so cheerful.

We had a very noisy room. Could hear everything, people talking, coming and going. It was windy when we were there and it blows though the windows because there are falling apart. Didn’t like the bathroom set up. If you closed the glass screen it made it so small in toilet and shower, almost claustrophobic. Had to leave blinds down because it overlooked the other rooms, with no privacy glass. Also the floor was so slippery with a step down from bedroom area. No room to put anything in room. Also curtains let in so much light and was hanging off. Breakfast was cold, only eggs came hot. Pool area had no shade with only 4 sun beds. It’s a nice property but too many things let it down.
