Chessington Resort Hotel

Azteca restaurant staff were absolutely amazing, they all work so hard, going as fast as they can all with a smile on their face. The lovely lady who hosted at the front (so sad I have forgotten her name) but working Friday evening 9th October. She had such a lovely manner and tone and kept everyone, not just us feeling welcomed and in good humour! Our server was also very lovely and hardworking, I have also forgotten his name but his section was the far right.

Initial drinks at the bar took a while which I think couldn't be helped.

The location is excellent and the staff were all hardworking and polite.

The restaurant just could not cope. We were told at 6pm that it would be at least an hour before we could get a table and then another 40 min wait for food. With a 3 year old who had been in Chessington WOA all day this was not what we wanted to hear. The staff suggested ordering food on Uber eats to be delivered to the hotel, so we did. It wasn't much better at breakfast, by 8.45 am there was little or no cutlery and no mugs for hot drinks. The fruit salad was not replenished. The staff could not work any harder and were embarrassed. Surely the hotel knows its room occupancy and should have adequate staff.

Food was very expensive - I guess because it is Merlin. We didn’t realise there was evening entertainment and missed most of it because our food took about 45 minutes to come

Proximity to the resort; the parking availability, the staff.
