The location of Casa Papaya can’t be beat! Located between Uvita and Dominical, it was easy to take day trips, visit local beaches, and go to restaurants or shops while having some solitude after a long day. Also, the views of the water are amazing! Property also felt very secure as it’s gated, and Elicia lives just a couple minutes away should you have any questions. She was very responsive and helpful during our entire stay which we appreciated.

We stayed here with our two young kids (ages 5 and 1). The spiral stairs and the pool required us to keep an extra close watch on both of them. Not necessarily a reason to not stay here, but something for other parents to consider if you are going to stay here with very young kids.

Like the location to Uvita and restaurants. Comfortable master bed and hot shower. Pool nice.

My fault but didn't realize I had to pay cash at arrival--assumed credit card ok. Owner should have reminded. However, I could not get U.S. cash from bank and got colon. I got extra just in case. As it turned out, I overpaid by $50 and owner didn't correct it. Came at 7 am and breakfast was being served so husband just handed amount to owner. She said that it was fine amount so $434 owed --remainder due--became $485 paid.) My fault again but because of plane arrival was not able to get a sim card and had no cell phone to call. Had to use someone else's for owner to open gate. (Would be much easier if owner would get a lock box and put keys in so client didn't have to be subject to owner being there if they were delayed.) View of ocean from master balcony (no viewing chairs) and from edge of pool. Main complaint was being by the major road that instead of ocean waves only heard traffic. Location is not below road with access to ocean as I thought it would be. Had to drive to get to beach. No dining table for outside. One English channel--hgtv and news. Poor lighting inside and very old cabinets. Cooking outside ok but Teflon pans very scratched--dangerous to cook on. Incorrect hookup for grill pan. Owner came and went so privacy an issue. Most issues quite solvable and can be looked at as a owner becoming landload. Can't solve traffic but nice size house for money.

The location, between Uvita and Dominical, was great. With our car, Casa Papaya was a great base to explore the area. The view is spectacular. The bedrooms were spacious with comfortable king beds. The air conditioner and fans kept the rooms cool. It was nice having an outside bathroom next to the pool, and bathrooms connected to each of the main bedrooms. A great refrigerator (big with an ice maker)! The cooking appliances (gas stove, electric griddle, gas grill) are located outside of the house. This was a little strange at first, but I ended up really enjoying cooking outside with a great ocean view. (however, if it were rainy or windy, this would turn into a dislike, I think). It was great having a washer / dryer. The covered parking area, behind a motorized gate was appreciated. The host was very communicative and responsive and a nice person.

It was a bit dusty due to construction trucks occasionally going up and down the dirt road in front of the house. While the kitchen was well stocked, we missed having a toaster. It would be great if the main bedroom had some furniture (e.g. chest of drawers) or a closet to store clothes.

Excelente ubicación, bellísimo! La piscina es preciosa, está rodeada de naturaleza y con vista al mar, donde se puede ver el atardecer. Está muy cerca de varias playas (Dominicalito, Hermosa y Uvita) y de bastantes restaurantes. La casa es muy cómoda, portón eléctrico, baño al aire libre. Me encantaría poder volver!

The location was great- right between Uvita and Domincal. There was a private beach right down the road and everything we were looking for was within ten miles! Elecia was super helpful with giving us directions and telling us about the fun activities in the area.
