Lovely location very comfortable room

Staff at reception were slow and unhelpful. This has not been the case on previous occasions that we have stayed.

Lovely room, fantastic balcony and a really nice view over the sea. Peaceful setting and very relaxing environment. During our stay we were planning to return until we hit a billing issue detailed below.

We enjoyed many aspects of our five-night stay, but unfortunately our experience was badly affected by a significant billing problem and the hotel's subsequent lack of communication. We specifically declined breakfast at check-in. Nevertheless, on checking our account after departure, we discovered that we had been charged an additional €220. Despite contacting the hotel through Booking.com and asking for a detailed invoice and an explanation, we received no response from the hotel at all. We therefore had to escalate the matter through Booking.com and spend considerable time obtaining and preparing bank transaction evidence to demonstrate the discrepancy. Booking.com eventually established that the €220 represented a five-day breakfast meal plan, even though we had declined breakfast and had not used it. The full €220 was eventually refunded by Oceania Hotels, but only after the matter had been pursued through Booking.com. At no point did we receive any direct communication from the hotel explaining what had happened, acknowledging the error or apologising for the inconvenience caused. Mistakes can happen, but what was particularly disappointing was the complete lack of response after we raised the issue. Resolving a straightforward €220 erroneous charge should not have required this amount of time and effort from a guest.

Zimmer mit tollem Meerblick und Balkon. Neue moderne Ausstattung. Das historische Stadtzentrum Intro Muros ist in 5 Minuten zu Fuss erreichbar. Viele Busse an der nahegelegenen Busstation Intro Muros, für Küstenwanderungen als Ausgangspunkt sehr geeignet. Die Fährenstation zu den Kanalinseln ist zu Fuss in 20 Minuten gut erreichbar. Die Klimaanlage läuft sehr sehr leise, ist kaum hörbar.

Fantastic location with friendly and helpful staff. Our room had a gorgeous view of the beach and ocean with well appointed bathroom (to include robes and slippers) and a large king-sized bed that was very comfortable. The pool was modest in size, and the hot tub and steam room were added bonus to our stay - especially after walking the ramparts of the old town area in Saint Malo. The balcony in our room was an ideal spot to people watch while we took some fantastic sunset pics.

Minor inconveniences that we brought to managements attention was the lukewarm hot tub, and the door to the steam room that did not appear to close completely. The hotel only has breakfast (which was very good) so lunch and dinner will need to be found elsewhere.
