Grifone Hotel

The room was very comfortable and the breakfast very good!

The location was a bit out of the way and the bus got caught in a lengthy traffic jam, meaning that l missed my train to Assisi and had to waits more than 2 hours for the next train! The footpaths in the area were in very poor condition

Wir warten immer noch auf die Zusendung unserer im Hotel vergessenen 'Samonite-Tasche'. Aufgrund von E-Mail-Kontakt wurde uns zugesichert, diese Tasche an unsere Anschrift zu senden.

Die Oberstadt ist zu Fuß in 30 Minuten erreichbar. Großer Parkplatz direkt beim/neben dem Hotel. Die Rezeption rund um die Uhr besetzt. Das Zimmer ist sauber, das Hotel ist schon älter, das Frühstück war mittelmäßig.

The hotel was rather tired but rooms were very clean and beds comfortable; the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Both the restaurant and bar were closed which in itself was not a problem, more a disappointment. However we were not impressed with the breakfast where selection was poor and often items had not been replenished. We had problems with availability of hot water on two occasions. Reviews had led us to believe that access to the town was good but it was a long walk to reach the escalators that took you into the centre. There was a good restaurant nearby but no bars so it was a trek to go into town for an evening. Of course a taxi is a possibility.
