Excellent service. lovely breakfast included and delicious fresh juices available at the pool. Loved the Villa and the wildlife that came to visit us. Access was a bit hard down a lot of stairs but for us, it was fine.
the walk up the hill from the main road was a bit hard in the heat.

- The included breakfast was tasty and filling
- Staff was very helpful and attentive
- The restaurant had a relatively simple menu, but with quality food and big portions. It opens at 7am and closes at 9:30pm which is a good time allowing for some flexibility in your meals schedule.
- You can enjoy incredible views of the ocean and nature around the hotel while in the pool and/or while having a drink.
- The property is located in a narrow almost hidden street just off the main road to Manuel Antonio, which offers both privacy and convenient access to all beaches and restaurants nearby.
Edit: I just noticed I submitted the review under the other room I reserved for my mom and younger brother. I stayed with my family in the Villa, while they stayed in the Standard Room, which had a nice ocean view and a small terrace.
The villa where we stayed looks a bit dated and needs some minor repair work (mostly on cosmetic details because everything was functional overall)
The pillows were not comfortable, could definitely use an upgrade
Edit: I also was just made aware that the hotel (previously Hotel California) was recently purchased by new owners so they are still investing in refurbishing parts of the hotel that were previously left unattended, which explains the cosmetic faults here and there.

My family of three loved everything about our 3 night stay here- the staff, location, pool, free breakfast, and the ocean view from our balcony.
The road up to the hotel may be difficult to traverse for some. My partner is used to mountain driving and made it up fine in our rental sedan.

The staff is nice and our room was always clean and organized.
I didn’t like the food and the wifi was definitely an issue.
The street to get to the hotel is not really a problem, we drove with a car and we were fine every time.

sehr nettes Personal, schlafen war sogar ohne Klimaanlage möglich. Ventilator war ausreichend. Aussicht und Ruhe 👍 Swimmingpool war großartig und es gab immer genügend Platz

Very nice, good breakfast and ocean view
They left a bottle of water with a transparent liquid near the sink and I mistake it for my bottle of water. Was a cleaning product and luckily I didn’t swallowed it but they shouldn’t leave it there looking like water

The swimming pool was amazing and the view from my window took my breathe away.
As I tried to get a shower in my room the water fluctuated between hot and cold every few seconds.

Ducha de baño no regulaba bien el agua.. O era muy fría o muy caliente, llavin de puerta malo, vecino de al frente muy mala presentación de la entrada del hotel, áreas que deben ser privadas para personal se encuentran expuestas al huésped(ej área de lavado y bodega)

This hotel is really nice, we had a nice room. Good breakfast and a clean pool.
The staff was nice . I think they listened to earlier complaints because we didn't notice anything from it.
We enjoyed our stay.
We can say the last bit of road was bumpy to come to the hotel. But we came with a low clearance 2 wheel drive and we came upp. So not really a problem there.
Maybe the name of the hotel needs to be more clear on the building because we were doubting if we were right. But also not a big issue.

Excelente atención, el personal se preocupa por cada detalle. Los desayunos de lo mejor y las personas que lo atienden a uno super amables. El persona de limpieza de la villa muy amables y detallistas.

La atención de Vale y Pedro es excelente! Muy buenas las piñas coladas y la comida.
La calle no se encuentra en muy buenas condiciones para un automóvil, quizás podrían invertir un poco en el acceso.

Todo estuvo excelente. Habitación espaciosa con cama cómoda, AC y nevera funcionaban bien, piscina limpia, buen parqueo, buenas vistas desde la habitación, el personal de recepción y cocina fue atento y amable todo el tiempo y les agradecemos muchísimo todas las recomendaciones y chineos. Por último, el desayuno fue de las mejores cosas del hotel! Opciones variadas con buena cantidad y muy buen sabor. Definitivamente volvería!
Creo que hubo una equivocación con el tipo de habitación que nos iban a dar ya que la nuestra tenía vistas a la piscina y al mar, pero la que nos asignaron solo tenía vista parcial al mar, sin embargo la muchacha de recepción nos ayudó con esto y nos dieron una habitación deluxe plus (aun mejor que la que reservamos) con excelentes vistas! :)

Wir wurden sehr nett mit einem Begrüßungsdrink empfangen. Das Zimmer war groß und sauber und die Aussicht vom Hotel ist sehr schön. In der Nähe ist direkt eine Bushaltestelle.

The room was lovely, and the staff went out of their way to be nice and helpful. We saw lots of wildlife from our balcony and at the pool side balcony including the local scarlet macaws, Mama and Papa named by the hotel owners. The breakfast was cooked fresh and was lovely. Couldn't recommend enough, it was such a nice friendly relaxed atmosphere ☺️
Nothing, I wish we had booked two nights. Just note that when you get up to it some of the signs still say hotel California which was a bit confusing.

Great location! We loved the swimming pool and deck - a perfect place to eat breakfast and watch the sun set. Our suite was perfect - comfortable and plenty of room, with a great patio. The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to help.

This place is a hidden, affordable oasis. Stunning view of the ocean, clean, quiet, lovely. Not fancy, but perfect. Annie, who works at the front desk, is one of the kindest/most helpful people I’ve ever met!

Everything about this property is amazing! They have made the hotel eco friendly and sustainable while simultaneously making it feel like you're walking into paradise. The staff is amazing, welcoming and kind. The rooms are beautiful, the views are incredible and the common area with the pool is stunning. There is an independent restaurant at the hotel and it's some of the best food I've ever eaten in my life! Everything is fresh, local ingredients that create an exquisite dining experience. They even had live music Saturday night! I can't express how magical and warm this hotel is!
