We had a great stay in Mombasa, Fatma is a very nice and friendly person. She helped us a lot without even asking. I highly recommend this place if you want to stay in Mombasa old town

Nothing specific

We received a wonderful warm welcome from Fatma, the owner, who took great care to show us around the apartment - Fatma’s smile was one of the highlights of that day. The apartment was simply furnished with basic kitchen equipment - perfect for breakfast. The apartment was well located to explore Mombasa Old Town on foot - a historically fascinating, and vibrant area. There were two excellent restaurants close by - the Forodhoni was our favourite (seaside dining), and the Camel’s Joint. We were easily able to get e Tuk Tuk to other areas of Mombasa, including Nyali beach.

The shower only had cold water, but the temperature in Mombasa was high, so once you got used to it, it was refreshing; the water pressure was very high which made for a great, but cold, shower.

Fatma was so kind and always ready to help!

Amazing location, right in the centre of old Mombasa. Unfortunately there was a power cut the night we stayed, and without fans or mosquito nets, we didn’t sleep much!

No mosquito nets on the beds
