We loved our stay in Lucca at Villa Leonor. On arrival the stunning grounds were met with a wow!
Accommodation was spotlessly clean and very well equipment, set in the grounds of a beautifully modernised Italian villa.
Good walking distance from Lucca (20-25 mins to station although that was in the heat!) or 10 mins by bike to city walls. As it turned out the weather was very hot when we visited so the walk which would normally not phase us was a hot one but the bikes available to use during your stay were a godsend. Taxis are available but very expensive so worth thinking about if you have no hire car. For us it worked brilliantly.
Property has the benefit of a lovely pool which we used daily and shared with the owners who were out most days, made us feel very welcome but also gave us privacy. We would not hesitate to stay again.
Genuinely nothing outside the tips I’ve given above.

We stayed here for two weeks with our 6-month-old son to explore the Tuscan area. It’s a great location with your own stone house, equipped with everything you need and a beautiful little garden :) There’s also a nice swimming pool. The house has one bedroom and is also suitable for a baby bed.
The house is located on a main road where cars sometimes pass by quite fast and early in the morning. However, there is plenty of parking space along the street.
I proprietari sono persone davvero adorabili e gentili – ci hanno fatto sentire molto benvenuti.
Maybe a coat rack by the entrance for hanging jackets and bags, and if it's possible to park the car right in front of the house, which helps calm the traffic a bit.
All in all, we had a wonderful stay and truly enjoyed our time here – highly recommended!
