The pictures are accurate and the apartment was clean. The building is very secure with keys needed to operate elevators and get into the garage from the lobby. The wifi worked well. There are many sketchy areas around Oakland. If you worry about your nice car, this may be the place for you! There is a coffee shop across the street and a second one behind the building on 2nd Street (a five-minute walk). The shower has very strong water pressure. The towels were of great quality. There are several restaurants within walking distance. We enjoyed the family-run Home of Chicken & Waffles for lunch and a little further away, Buttercup Diner for breakfast, twice! It was too cool to spend much time on the roof deck, but we enjoyed the view of the sunset.

The listing contains a few errors. There is no coffee maker. The "ocean view" is really of the harbor and bay and is only from the roof of the building. There's a sofa in the living room, but rather than the sofa bed, an air mattress was in the bedroom. The room may be soundproof from neighboring apartments, but the train is very loud. Wearing earplugs wasn't much help. There are a lot of trains; it's Amtrak's tenth busiest station of 74 in California. If you're a light sleeper, stay further away from the tracks. My car is fairly long and if it didn't have cameras all around, I would have needed someone to help me back it into the parking elevator. While very secure, I was not a fan of needing to log into an app at the doors and elevators.

The apartment was very comfortable and steps from lots of restaurants. The owner was exceptional, always answering quickly any question I had and checking in during our stay.

The only drawback was having a very loud train going by very often on our same street, starting very early in the morning. But I would rent the apartment again nonetheless.

I loved all the amenities that came with this property. I loved the location and the proximity to both Oakland and San Francisco. Will definitely stay in this spot again.

It is 3 minute walk from the Amtrak station. This property’s from door literally faces the tracks. Super convenient for staying after arriving by train. Though I never spoke to the staff in person, the host communicated with me directly prior to my 1 night stay, ensuring I had everything I needed and was all set and to contact them if I needed anything. Despite never seeing them, staff was still gets the highest rating. Everything about the property, interior and exterior was absolutely top of the line for the price.

The price. Even though it was extremely convenient and it was a beautiful stay and I would recommend it to anyone, for me, I could not justify paying the price upon future visits. I would much prefer a dorm setting for longer stays and for the price.
