The Varden - A Self-Service Micro Hotel

It’s super close to the Pacfic station, literally 5 min walk, and to the Pike. You can easily walk anywhere in 15 mins. It’s a self check in so you just get the code and open the door. The air conditioner was wonderful! Wish they had a humidifier in there. I also wish the rooms came with at least a kids size water bottle or two. The Fridge gets super cold and the microwave worked well. They had an electric kettle but it didn’t have the plug. There was tea and coffee but no bottled water. The bed linens were nice and isn’t soil fast. The room was very clean.

The walls are thin so I heard the person next door snoring. There was a leak in the lobby. The bed is basic not fluff or foam just a spring mattress. The shower is super small the shower head should be a rainfall shower head because there’s no space. I’m 165 and could barely move around. The curtain kept sticking to my bum.

Great price compared to the other hotels in the area. The location was exactly where I needed to be in downtown Long Beach. The room had everything I needed.

The room was really small. I knew what I was getting going into it, but it was a little tighter than I was expecting. There was also no cable TV. Kinda of weird staying in a hotel without cable TV.

What I think of the breakfast is that there is none served. The location is fine.

What would better is the guy over me that is dropping stuff on the floor and talking loud.

I like the location. It was walking distance to almost everything and have its own parking space.

The feeling of creepiness in the hallway because it was tight and there is no one in the front. Then when we opened the room, it smelled like someone smoked. The toilet bowl and the sink could be cleaner.
