We had a week at Poppy cottage and it did not disappoint. The cottage was clean and comfortable and we stayed in the heatwave but the cottage stayed lovely and cool. The location is fantastic for pubs and the beach and we had some very beautiful scenic walks. We loved kingsdown so much we are thinking of moving there. 10 out of 10 stay

Poppy cottage is pretty, clean, well equipped and very comfy for 2 adults, but 4 adults would be difficult as there is only seating for 2 in the lounge (but plenty of room for 4 adults elsewhere). Good and well equipped kitchen. Not good if you have mobility issues as narrow stairs to get to the property and the main bed is placed directly on the floor so very low and difficult to get in and out of. It’s on a narrow road so parking immediately near the cottage for loading and unloading is tricky too, but we did always find a space within a few minutes walk. Very peaceful, a short walk to the sea (5 minutes) and 3 good pubs a similar distance away. Keepers Cottages staff were very helpful regarding a few maintenance issues we had.

We had the greatest time and enjoyed every minute there!

Short walk to beautiful quiet beach. Nice relaxing living space and well kept garden. Would stay again
