We loved how you get your own cabin, makes it feel quite private. Also the bar/restaurant/ pool area was super open plan and had a lovely relaxed feel to it.

It was disappointing to find out on our 2nd day of our stay that there was going to be maintenance works around the pool area for 4 days. This could have been communicated prior to our arrival/ perhaps a complementary drink or similar could have been offered as a gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience. Additionally, the fitness suite was not up to expectations. The rowing machine was broken, treadmill worked but the display had run out of battery. The aircon was on but set at 28 degrees. The floor was also dirty. Overall, we felt the fitness suite could do with some TLC.

Breakfast is a la carte and very big: main dish to choose, pastry, fruits, juice and tea. Staff is very kind and helpful, they offered us a 1 hour late checkout with ability to stay in the hotel area afterwards. Pool side is good with 2 small jacuzzi and a main pool. Restaurant is also pretty good but a little bit slow. There are multiple animals nearby - mostly different monkeys and lizards. Close to the airport (choose Ukunda airport, not Mombasa!), but a little far from Diani center.

Breakfast offers about 7-8 options and if you are here more than 3-4 days, it can be a little boring. Constructions near pool are was taking place in the middle of the day with people around, which was pretty strange. Beach and sea are pretty volatile mid-September. A lot of seaweed and big tides and waves, but you can find a slot applicable for swimming. The main downside of the beach are the beach boys (this is not the hotel problem, but the whole area problem). Even when you are swimming in the pool or chilling in jacuzzi, there will be multiple beach boys staring at you and offering their coconuts/bracelets/etc, which is VERY annoying. If you are to go to the beach beyond hotel area, they will instantly come to you like some zombies. I understand that this is a free and public beach, and that those people try to earn some money, but you can't really hide from them anywhere and this is pretty frustrating.

The aircon in my room on the last day was noisy, unfortunately maintenance wasn't able to fix it. Didn't sleep well that night. Also had a monkey jump in and unfortunately wasn't able to enjoy the veranda space. Staff was also not very responsible on the first day I checked in. Made it hard to settle in
