We really enjoyed our stay! What a lovely, 3,000 sq. ft., 2 story home that was built in 1940! When we were making a decision about where to stay, we shared pictures of potential places with my brother. When he saw the pictures of this beautiful home in Lincolnton, he referred to this home as a “dollhouse”, so that is what we started referring to it as, The Dollhouse. It is beautifully decorated and there are many accent items and furniture pieces throughout the home from the era the home was built in. The wood stairs with newel posts are an absolute masterpiece! There are even two layers of stairs that split! I have never seen such a thing! Thank goodness the stairs have never been painted! There are even wood floors and fireplaces throughout the home. It was well-stocked with supplies. Also of note, there is a lovely, half-circle, paved drive with decorative stone work out in front of the house. The owners were quick to respond to any questions that we had. We would definitely stay there again!

The owners of Oakwood House were very gracious in allowing us to have our Bible Study Christmas Party there.
When I walked in I was blown away with how beautifully it was decorated. The bedrooms looked very cozy. The whole house was warm and inviting. The location of the house is very convenient.
I’m going to recommend this place to my out of town friends.

This house is absolutely amazing! It is a beautiful home that makes you feel cozy, peaceful and right at home. We had a Christmas party here and it has plenty of space to spread out. The owners are willing to g above and beyond to meet your needs and it has everything you need to make your stay great and accommodating.

We used the Oakwood House for a ladies Christmas Party. What a great time we had! The venue was clean and beautiful, sufficiently stocked for our needs and we felt at home. The owners allowed us to personalize the party with additional decorations. There was sufficient room to social difference and be safe. Definitely want to visit again. Recommend to anyone who needs a great place to stay. We will be back!
