Single room on the 4th floor, sink in the room, toilet/shower separate (in the room though) . Located just off the main road in Zermatt, it's quiet (if they have finished construction on another building at the back. Five minutes or so walking from the train station. Zermatt is a very touristic place, so an abundance of restaurants and bars and supermarkets and other shops very close by.
Nothing worth mentioning.

Attractive chalet-style hotel with spectacular views all around. Friendly helpful staff. Half-hourly bus service from the centre of town.
The hotel is 3km uphill from the centre of Grindelwald. The bus is fine but not always convenient. The walk back to the hotel is fairly steeply uphill. There is no lift in the hotel. I had to lug my suitcase up two flights of stairs. The restaurant is closed on Tuesdays (and Mondays?) but there is restaurant a few minutes' walk further up the hill.

The hotel is in a great location, close to the railway station and the centre of town. The check in procedure, at a nearby hotel, was smooth and the lady on the desk was welcoming and helpful. Our room was relatively large and had a nice balcony. Breakfast was decent.
The carpet in our room is in dire need of replacement; it is worn and badly stained. We found it a bit concerning that the main door to the hotel simply opened automatically without any need for a key or code, so anyone could walk in off the street.
