The hotel was clean, at a good location overlooking the waters and with very friendly staff. It seems recently renovated with some parts inaccessible due to ongoing renovations. There was also a pool which could not be used due to this. There were limited items on offer for breakfast, but it is enough to keep you going. We left Dakar at 7am on Thursday morning for our bus ride over and arrived at the hotel around 1pm. After settling in we were starving and asked the lady at reception if we could have something to eat but she told us we would have to wait till around 7pm when the restaurant opened for dinner, which would be a huge problem for us. Thankfully another lady came to reception later and we asked her the same question. Thankfully we did because she was much more solution-oriented. I wish I had asked for her name or that they wore name badges but she certaintly helped us out, bless her. The meal we had from the kitchen (thieboudienne) was delicious and well spiced albeit quite small. They also accommodated our request for an extra bed in the room and to check out later, which was kind of them.

Firstly, we could not pay by card which meant we had to find an ATM to withdraw from soon after arriving. It was not a massive inconvenience but would have been easier for us had the ability to swipe been available, especially after such a long journey. There were also no elevators or ramps in the building which makes it not ideal if you a physically incapacitated. You could ask for a room on the first floor, but you would be unable to access the terrace where the restaurant is located. Furthermore, the shower stall had no enclosure around it. This is not a big deal but something to be mindful of. Showering often left a mess but thankfully the water dried up soon enough. Lastly, we found the bed to be quite hard and extremely uncomfortable. After two nights, our backs were complaining.

The hotel is ideally located, offering beautiful views of the Faidherbe Bridge. Located south of the islands, it provides easy access to nearby attractions, shops, and restaurants, all within walking distance. The rooms are spacious and equipped with HD televisions and reliable Wi-Fi. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist.

On the downside, the breakfast selection could be improved. Additionally, the hotel is still undergoing construction, so guests should expect some inconvenience, including dust in certain areas.
