As soon as I checked in, I notified the property manager that the first floor powder room toilet was turned off. The toilet wouldn't flush. I was hosting a post funeral reception the next day after my brother's ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery. I was very clear about this when I made the reservation. The property manager wrote back that she was sorry and wondered if we wanted the toilet fixed while we there. What? Yes, I needed the toilet fixed as soon as possible. She said maybe her guy could come the next morning but might not have all the parts so don't depend on it. I told her we would be at the funeral between noon and 2pm. Then she wrote back that her guy couldnt come at that time. Meanwhile, she wrote that my payment for the rental had been declined. I was confused because I had a reciept and didn't recieve any notification. She said VRBO had let her know. I spent precious time away from my family to call the bank, and check my credit card company only to learn that the payment had been made in full. She made it clear that I was to take care of the payment immediately. Too much stress during a difficult time. She was very dismissive whenever I asked for help. I liked the property but the event was marred by the property manager's indifference.

Very nice house and large enough for a big family gathering - in our case for a funeral at Arlington. Very clean premises and our host was very friendly and responsive. And couldn't really ask for a more seamless check-in and check-out.

This Douglas Park VRBO was a 5-star experience. It was large enough to accommodate our family of 7 adults & 2 children. The house was very clean & well appointed. The location was excellent as we made several trips to the airport & explored all that Washington DC has to offer. Maggie, Our host, was diligent to ensure we had all that we needed to have a pleasant stay. Her instructions were concise & recommendations welcomed. The house was family-oriented with fenced backyard for the children, many games & books provided for different ages and the foosball table was a hit. We were grateful for the driveway to park cars as most parking for the homes are street side. Our family would definitely stay here again.

Our family of 11 were in the area for a christening and this house suites all our needs. There was lots of space for all of us- and plenty of bathrooms that came in handy as we had to be ready to leave by 9am. The children loved the outdoor space and the top floor of the home. The decor was lovely! Our booking went smoothly and we had no issues checking in.
