The Cottage was perfect for what we needed, lovely area, close to town and only a walk away from the hospital. The host was amazing, even had milk in the fridge for a cuppa when we landed which was well wanted after an early flight. We were also allowed to check in early which was very much appreciated. The cottage was warm and clean and had a nice outdoor area to relax . Would 100% recommend.

Nothing

The accommodation is plenty big enough for an extended stay and has a good range of facilities. Off road parking is close to the annex and there is an outdoor seating area. The host was keen to make sure we had everything we needed, then left us alone unless we asked her for something. It is within jogging distance of the nearest parkrun.(Highwoods). There is a local shop in walking distance and a large Tesco about 5 minutes away by car.

It's a little too far to walk to the centre of Colchester, but that was a minor disappointment

We loved the welcome- there was sugar tea coffee and milk. Had a lovely seating area outside. Cooking facilities were brilliant and there was a washingmachine tumble dryer and iron in the outhouse behind. The owner and her family were really friendly. It was a quiet neighbourhood and the local shop at the end of the road was brilliant. There was also tesco a 5 minute drive away.

Our only thing was the double bed was a bit uncomfy- so i would take that as a win x

- Welcoming friendly host - Clean garage apartment

- Washing machine & tumbler are NOT in apartment as listed, they are in a dirty shed in the backyard of the host's house. And surprisingly charging extra fees for usage of any of them!! - iron was extra dirty and again within that dirty shed. - iron board is not only dirty in the shed but un-usable too. - the couple chairs are mini type and not comfortable for sitting, the couch is not comfortable as well, the bed is not adequately raised from floor and not convenient to utilize. - no privacy coverage of front door and kitchen windows. - no blackout curtains in bed room with a sunrise of 4:30 and sunset of 9:30 made sleeping quite difficult. - the towel-drying-radiator in the bathroom makes the room a sauna! and can't turn it down because sinks and shower get their hot water thru it!!
