Fijne lokatie net buiten Steenwijk.

Gut

Alles war gut

We did not have breakfast. The room was mostly clean and comfortable, quiet and the beds were good.

They claimed to be 2.3 km from Giethoorn, but this was untrue, and we had to drive 10 minutes to reach any part of that town. There was only one bath towel for two of us, and when we asked in the morning, they said this was usual. Weird. No one returned my email when I wrote days in advance with a question about how to reach town from where they are, if we came by train and bus. We arrived within the check-in window (30 minutes before the end time) and the receptionist was grouchy and did not speak English or German, though their listing said they spoke both. Then no one was available for simple questions, or to get us another towel, a fan, or to fix the broken window shade. We were not informed of the need to tell them our arrival time in advance, so we arrived within the given check-in time of 3:00-7:00.
