The house is small but perfectly formed. Decor is superb, it looks every bit as good as in the photos. Not shown in the photos online is the small hanging rack by the bed and a small 2 drawer chest of drawers underneath. These were perfectly adequate for the clothes we had for a weeks stay. Shower room is spectacular. I love a good shower and this was a large head shower, with a rain feel, lots of hot water and plenty of space for two. Water never once got into the bedroom, as the slope of the floor is well designed. Kitchen had everything we needed. Could perhaps do with adding a kettle at some point, but we used a saucepan to boil water for the filter coffee press we always carry with us. There is another property - Lunar House 2 - higher on the hill above Lunar House 1. However, we never felt overlooked. And because this is the lower house, our view was unspoilt by any other properties below us, right out to sea. We really loved our stay in Tinos and plan to return one year. It's not a large island, but has plenty to do for a weeks stay and the restaurants we tried were superb and great value for money too. It's an unspoilt by tourism island. Didn't see a single bar with sports on a TV for example. But everyone spoke great English, so there was no language barrier. The house is very remote. About 15-20 mins drive to anything else - restaurants, shops etc. Takes about 25 mins to Tinos main town Chora. We didn't mind this, but be prepared that every day you need to drive the rough dirt track to the house - about 3 mins drive. I'm very used to driving rough roads, but some people might find it a little uncomfortable/scary. But the remoteness, means nobody else around, apart from Lunar House 2 and we barely saw them at all. Beaches we visited were all soft sand. Very unusual in Greece, as most greek beaches are pebbles in our experience. Favourite beach was on the south coast Ag.

The wind! Tinos and Mykonos are famous for high winds in the summer. However, by September it's normally gone (apparently). But it wasn't this time. Because the house is high on the mountain side, it's quite bleak when the sun didn't shine. Luckily it was only about 1.5 days of this, so not too bad. Pool was also freezing cold. Clearly they'd not had hot weather for the previous few weeks, so it had lost its summer warmth. Screening of Lunar House 2, I think adding a couple of rocks or trees between the two properties, would make it feel even more removed from the higher house. It's not a deal breaker, but I do love my privacy when away. Hairdryer was a small travel type, it did the job, but a slightly larger version would be a good investment for the house I think. Small bathroom, maybe add a towel hook inside the room and a shelf on the wall by the mirror perhaps. It has lots of other shelving I know, but the wall there feels a bit blank and empty. Even some kind of artwork or something would perhaps make it feel more complete. All in all, these are small things and didn't spoil the house for us in the least.
