Wonderful house with extraordinary views of the river and the castle. Great location close to the bakery, a small supermarket and the river for swimming and canoe rentals. A very good base for exploring Perigord. Very friendly and helpful hosts who gave recommendations for activities and restaurants. Simply a wonderful place to stay!
As we visited during an extreme heatwave, we were first concerned by the absence of air conditioning in the bedroom on the bottom floor. However, the hosts brought fans, and shutters and stone walls kept a lot of the heat out, so it all worked out. Under more normal conditions, this wouldn’t have been an issue at all.
The driveway up to the parking was pretty steep and narrow.
