There’s a lot to like about Warrane. The decor is smart and modern and very ‘country house’. The garden setting is lovely. We were a large group and we found it easy to enjoy each other in the various spaces. Our family enjoyed the pool table and tried out the lovely swimming pool.

Unfortunately there were a few too many ‘little’ things that made the place feel like ‘not luxury’- we had a little bit of stress at the start in trying to get in, then we realised the three bedrooms in the cottage still had dirty bedding etc (lucky we arrived early enough in the day for the host to find a cleaner). Then we found the kitchen isn’t stocked with basic pantry items like salt, pepper, oil, tea, coffee, paper towels and spray and wipe. And the oven was dirty so we had to clean it. Our cottage guests were given no soap at all. None of us were provided with shampoo etc which you can expect in a place marketed as luxury. The guests in the main house felt more happy with their stay so if you only plan to use four of the bedrooms and you bring down a lot of kitchen supplies you’ll be much more comfortable.

The home and property are stunning and very spacious and comfortable. Perfect for a large group or families. The main house has 4 bedrooms and there is a separate house with the additional bedrooms.

We had issues accessing the home as an incorrect code was provided and no instructions for locating the lock box. The lock box was not close to the front door or easy to find and we had to contact the host to ask for the access instructions to be sent. Fortunately the host responded immediately. Lovely property with great potential but attention to detail is lacking. Some basic amenities were missing such as dishwashing tablets/powder.
