Our leadership team returned to Northeast Harbor for our annual meeting and stayed at Overedge again—and it was every bit as exceptional as we remembered. The property strikes that perfect balance of charm, comfort, and function. Every detail feels intentional—from the immaculate upkeep to the thoughtful amenities that make working (and relaxing) effortless.The setting is unbeatable: quiet, scenic, and minutes from everything we love about Mount Desert Island. The common spaces easily accommodate group discussions, while the layout still provides plenty of privacy for downtime.Overedge has become our go-to retreat spot, and it continues to impress year after year. We’re already looking forward to the next trip back.

We had a large group and this house was perfect for the group. Plenty of room, amazing time spent on a beautiful veranda and lots to do on the island. We spent a lot of time watching the Nat Geo from our porch! Has everything you could need!

This was a super home to stay in for the week! Clean, plenty of paper products for a family of 13! Great kitchen, rooms, porch enclosed deck and one open! Quiet for an older home, so big groups were comfortable and fun!

Large group of friends and family made this our home for eight days. Over the years we have traveled to various national parks and stayed in a rental homes such as this. The experience here was fabulous. Ages six months to 70 years. There was plenty of room for all to spread out, with diverse sleeping options, and great community eating and gathering areas. A few issues to be aware of, but not really surprising as the home is 120 years old. Include narrow stairs, drafty, windows, raised bathtubs -needing a big step to get in for showering, some old furniture-but still comfy. Heat only blows to the first floor, but does move throughout the house, and for sleeping plenty of warm blankets were available. We really enjoyed fires in the family room fireplace. There are plenty of board games for kids and adults. The kitchen is quite large and well equipped. Two dishwashers and a fridge and a half. The glassed in dining area, with a view of the bay was used for all meals at the home, and was enjoyed immensely. One night we were treated to a wonderful aurora borealis show in the sky outside the home! Wow! We were close to Acadia NP, Bar Harbor, not too far from Ellsworth— pretty convenient. On the days didn’t rain we saw beautiful sunrises from the many east facing windows on the main floor, as well as several of the bedrooms. Thank you.
