Private, Tranquil Apartment just blocks from town center w/ lush tropical patio
Suchst du einen gut erreichbaren, privaten und charmanten Rückzugsort, nur wenige Minuten vom Stadtzentrum entfernt? Diese urige, gut ausgestattete Ein-Zimmer-Wohnung liegt drei Blocks von der Hauptstraße entfernt, bietet aber dennoch einen ruhigen Rückzugsort abseits des Trubels im Stadtzentrum. Diese Wohnung im Erdgeschoss (es gibt nur eine weitere in diesem Gebäude) liegt abgeschieden und sorgt so für maximale Privatsphäre. Sie verfügt über eine geräumige Küche und einen Wohnbereich, in dem du auch ein paar Gäste bewirten kannst.
Die Anfahrt ist ganz einfach! Du bist nur wenige Schritte von einem der besten Gourmet-Frühstückslokale in San Pancho entfernt – das Café Floresta und eine Bäckerei abseits der ausgetretenen Pfade sind nur einige der Reize dieses Stadtteils. Der Strand ist nur 10 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt, aber sei darauf gefasst, unterwegs für eine Paleta, einen Taco oder ein Agua Fresca einen Abstecher zu machen!
Die Wohnung ist kühl, ruhig und wird von warmem Sonnenlicht durch die vielen üppigen und ausgewachsenen Pflanzen, die den Raum umgeben, sanft durchflutet. Direkt neben dem Eingang befindet sich eine große private Terrasse mit einem Tisch im Freien, auf dem du dich mit einem Buch oder einer Mahlzeit entspannen kannst, während du den Klängen der einheimischen Singvögel, Hähne und den leisen Geräuschen der Passanten lauschst.
Der Hauptwohnbereich ist offen gestaltet und verfügt über einen kleinen Esstisch sowie Sitzgelegenheiten zum Entspannen sowie eine gut ausgestattete Küche, die fast alle deine Kochbedürfnisse abdeckt. Wunderschöne mexikanische Fliesen zieren die Küchenoberflächen: handgepresste Saltillo-Fliesen auf dem Boden und handbemalte Fliesen auf den Arbeitsplatten und der Rückwand.
Das Schlafzimmer verfügt über ein Queen-Size-Bett mit frischer, knackiger Bettwäsche und ein Badezimmer direkt neben dem Schlafzimmer. Eine Klimaanlage ist vorhanden, und in jedem Zimmer gibt es Deckenventilatoren.
Der Check-in ist ganz einfach. Es gibt einen Schlüsselkasten, auf den du jederzeit zugreifen kannst, sowie eine lokale Hausverwaltung. Die Wohnung verfügt außerdem über einen Parkplatz abseits der Straße.

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Serena very much. From the owner, who lives next door, to the manager and staff, everyone we interacted with was very helpful and friendly. There are two units in the casa. We stayed on the main floor, which has a small shady patio out front. Casa Serena has a fabulous palapa on the roof. The palapa is cool, shady, and offers great views. The main floor unit is naturally cool due to the shade provided by the lush plantings that surround the property. For this reason, the upper unit may not be as cool as the upper one.The casa is located in the barrio, behind San Pancho centro with its shops and restaurants. It is a very short walk to centro, and about a 15 minute walk to the beach. The location is very central. Floresta cafe is close by, and it is a fabulous place to go for coffee, breakfast and lunch. There is also a bakery which backs onto the property. The bakery is open on Fridays and also sells at the Tuesday market. The barrio can be noisy, with much activity and a population of free range chickens. The noise didn't bother me and I was soon used to it. The host provides ear plugs just in case!I would definitely stay at Casa Serena and recommend it!

My husband and I spent 11 days in this quaint apartment. We loved the privacy and I especially enjoyed working on my writing and painting upstairs on the rooftop palapa. The water purifier is a really nice addition, no need for bottled water, and the kitchen has just what you need to eat in. It can be a little noisy at night with the air conditioner and partying neighbours, so if you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs. Roosters were not a problem for me, brought me back to my childhood. :) Laura was great! She replied to my questions right away and was delightful to message back and forth with. Very helpful. The apartment is a block from downtown, and Calle Pakistan is cobblestoned so we found good walking shoes to be helpful. We felt totally safe where we were, and would love to come again and maybe rent top and bottom with family or friends.Oh, I agree with the small microwave idea, would have been handy,,,,but one can still heat their coffee or leftovers on the stove if needed.

This is such a wonderful apartment with lovely colorful tile, beautiful furniture, and a well equipped kitchen. There were even boogie boards, and yoga mats! San Pancho is a great community - be sure to check out Entreamigos which is just a few blocks away. You are also close to the football pitch in town, and a short short walk to the main street and all of its restaurants and shops, or if you cut through the Plaza de Sol, you can get to the beach quickly and avoid the crowds. The immediate neighborhood does have hundreds of wild chickens running about, and our first two nights we were serenaded by the roosters crowing - so maybe use earplugs or the white noise machine in the bedroom if you are a light sleeper. After awhile it didn't seem to bother us.

We stayed in the bottom suite of this property which was a perfect temperature with no need for the air conditioning. Fantastic communication from the property manager and great amenities. The location is only a few blocks away from the beach, market and shops.
