The location for access to Lindisfarne, beaches and towns, , the grounds and the wildlife. Dale was very good at solving any issues we had. Lovely walks. A lovely historical building with a sense of grandeur.
The property seemed tired in places. Seems like it needs some upgrades like a decent, modern oven bbq, new outdoor seating would make a difference and new pots and pans for the kitchen. Plus some of the outdoor buildings over the stream were dilapidated and looked unsafe.

Bedrooms-fantastic
Grounds amazing
Really great house for family celebrations at Christmas
Loved the huge kitchen/diner
Thank you
Small points-Needs more than one small food knife for food prep
Would be better with extra arm chair in big lounge so we could sit comfortably together
Main point-Freezer far too small for 10 people - please could you put in another freezer?

We had a lovely multi-generational family holiday plus dog. The Coach House is massive and we loved the location and the grounds. The beds are really comfortable, the showers are great and it was lovely and warm. The downstairs heating didn't work on our first night but was very quickly fixed.
We had trouble getting hold of anyone about our arrival, but got through eventually. Some parts of the house are a bit tired and the kitchen wasn't great. The dishwasher was completely rusted and a lot of the kitchenware needed a good clean/replacing.

Location. Good for visiting places.
Downstairs toilet door not locking.
Basic equipment, dust pan and brush, matches for the fire, something to put ashes in.
Stains on bedroom carpet.
Better general upkeep.
Unusable bbq.
Soot on outside furniture and cars.

"Another fabulous stay at the amazing Middleton hall estate. This time the dog friendly coach house. It was great for the dogs as hard floors throughout the ground floor. A toasty boot room for drying ..."
