Excellent communication and care from the proprietor. Extremely clean, beautiful decor, and thoughtful touches such as local activity guides, some ham and cheese in the fridge on arrival, and coffee/tea (though confusing why the coffee only included two regular coffee packets for a four night stay, but many more decaffeinated packets).

The apartment does not have A/C and was too hot. It is a western exposure, so it takes the afternoon heat. It has small windows, all facing west, and the configuration is narrow, preventing good air flow. Thus, despite having a fan and opening the windows, the apartment was uncomfortable and stuffy throughout the stay. The mattress and pillows were hard, the pillows were not a standard shape, and the sheets did not feel cool and crisp but were quite warm and stuffy. As a result of these things, I was unable to sleep through the night a single night of my four nights there, and I am a deep sleeper who almost never has issues sleeping through the night. The advertised "coffee maker" was not technically a coffee maker but rather the smallest sized moka pot, which was not only tedious to make and required supervision, but on a single serving could make about half of a cup of coffee in the provided cups. For a place advertising a coffee maker, I am used to an electric coffee maker that can make a full pot of coffee. The place advertised a bar and a garden, but it had neither. The advertised gym is nice, better than many standard hotel gyms, but it is a municipal gym and was only open during limited hours in the morning and evening, and only Monday-Friday, so not that helpful for a weekend stay. The place also had limited electric outlets--specifically, it was not possible to rest on the couch and do work on the computer because the outlet was across the room. Also, the property is not "beachfront" as advertised. First, the entrance is on a minor street one block north of the main street that is next to the beach. Second, the apartment faces west, not south. If you sit/recline on the righthand side of the bed in the bedroom, you can see the water and sunset.
