LOKAL Rooms x Skardu (Katpana Retreat)

We had a great stay at LOKAL Rooms x Skardu (Katpana Retreat). Instead of a typical, generic hotel, it feels like staying in your own private bungalow set right next to the stunning cold desert landscape with beautiful scenery all around. The accommodation felt very safe and secure, featuring a locked entrance gate that ensured complete privacy and peace of mind. ​A huge highlight was the exceptional hospitality provided by the manager, Muhammad Issa Khan, and his staff. They were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and helpful throughout our entire stay. Having fresh meals brought directly to our bungalow upon request was a wonderful touch that made our time there even more comfortable.

It is somewhat isolated, so you cannot easily walk to nearby shops or grocery stores. Having a dedicated driver or private transport is necessary for getting around. There were occasional brief power outages, but the electricity always came back on almost instantly.

We came to Skardu planning to stay for just one night, but we ended up staying for two days, that’s how much we enjoyed our stay here in Lokal ❤️ Everything was really good, especially the hospitality. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. The rooms were comfortable, the place was clean, and overall we felt very relaxed and at home. We genuinely had a great time here and enjoyed every part of our stay. It was one of those places where you don’t feel like leaving after just one night ! If you’re visiting Skardu and looking for a nice, comfortable place with good hospitality, I’d definitely recommend this hotel. We would happily stay here again on our next visit in sha Allah ❤️

El hotel se encuentra al lado del desierto frío de Katpana y saliendo por la puerta trasera del jardín a solo unos pasos pude tener acceso a las dunas del desierto mis hijos disfrutaron muchísimo jugar con la arena y la vista maravillosa

No hay habitaciones familiares así que tuvimos que dormir separados

Para el verano esta genial el sitio, vistas increibles y buen servicio

No está preparado para el invierno, tuvimos que cambiar de alojamienro porque estabamos a unos -10 grados y solo habia un heater, la habitacion es enorme y no calentaba nada, tuvimos que acortar la estancia y cambiar a uno con calentador. Tambien se congelaron las tuberias y estuvimos sin agua por la mañana. El sitio esta genial pero para verano, el invierno lo tienen que mejorar ....
