Lovely place just as pictured, but as someone with mobility issues the shower access should be photographed better. The shower base is about 18inches above the floor with no grab bars. As such it was to inaccessable for me. I was very dissappointed, basin washes were the go, with bending into the shower to wash my hair using the hand shower! It was tempting to turn the bath room into a wet room, but alas no drain in the floor so i didn't. Husband had no trouble.It is a very beautiful site, relaxing, quiet and we enjoyed our stay. Though the terrain was a bit challenging to navigate, quite steep in places but do able with assistance from my long suffering husband.The swimming pool would benefit from a properly designed handrail on the steps. I could not use pool, yes there was a ladder but not suitable for me.Sorry for the whine but I like to give my honest thoughts in a review.Other than the shower and the pool access we had a great stay, apartment was great, everything you needed was there, the surrounding area stunning. Great location for exploring Exmoor and lots of glorious walks from site. Nice to have a hot tub to soak/relax in especially as no bath in property. (I’m a light sleeper anyway , but found traffic road nose overnight annoying)

Great location. Nicely maintained grounds. Lovely crows and jackdaws roosting onsite and nearby. Charming ponies onsite.

Photos do not do this place justice! We booked this holiday very last minute so weren't quite sure what we'd be getting, but it turned out to be a complex of cottages all nestled on beautiful grounds with lovely views. The cottage itself was very basic and needed some updating and a good clean, but it didn't spoil our enjoyment of the holiday, and from hearing other guests views it sounds like the larger apartments might be in better condition. We really enjoyed sitting on our private patio and sitting next to the ponies late in the evening. The site generally felt very peaceful, although there was occasional noise from the road, more noticeable in the early morning, and the walls must be very thin as every night there was constant loud snoring from another guest! Nothing of this spoiled our enjoyment though and we had a lovely time.
