We had a great time surprising our old foster sons for Christmas. This was the perfect place in a great location in which we were able to bring our dogs with us. The property is so cute. Everything is updated and clean. Loved having the firepit, the patio set outdoors, the washer and dryers, and the fenced in yard! I

The photos and other positive reviews are totally true - this is a new favorite place for our family of 2 parents, 2 college age kids and one goldendoodle. First, the cottage was spotless and had everything we needed for our stay including extra pillows, blankets, cooking tools, etc. Second, communication with Jarrett was ideal. Third, location is great whether you want to stay around Hendersonville or go into Asheville. This place deserves 5 stars in every way. We definitely plan on returning!

The cabin was so clean. Nice cozy atmosphere. Great location to downtown. Would certainly recommend it to anyone traveling to Hendersonville.

We found the “Cozy Cottage” to be the perfect place for us. It was foremost clean and updated. The beds were comfortable as were the pillows. The furniture in the living area was okay comfort wise but we only spent a couple of hours in the evening sitting on the sofa. The host was accommodating, responsive and friendly. They supplied coffee, creamer, toilet paper, garbage bags and tissues so we did not have to spend time or $$ procuring these. The location was great as a nice park was in walking distance and we took our dog there almost every morning to begin the day. We went to a state park nearby for hiking, to the Biltmore house, Vue 1913 at the Omni in Asheville, drove up to Mt. Mitchell on the Blue Ridge Parkway and into Hendersonville (very close by) for dinner and window shopping: Umi was delicious as was Postero’s. In other words, the location was perfect for us!

Sweet little cottage with a great covered porch! Secluded wooded location just a mile or so from Historic Downtown Hendersonville, great restaurants and close to hiking trails.
Kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Comfortable bed and nice bath. Easy communication and immediate responses from Hosts.
We loved the natural feel of the property but it may be difficult for those with mobility or balance issues to maneuver the steps or yard.
Having our dog with us was definitely a bonus!

We had a great time at this location. Would definitely stay again if I come back to Hendersonville. The beds were very comfortable, cottage was very clean, and host was very responsive when I reached out. The best part was the back porch where we would have coffee and eat breakfast in the morning!

We really enjoyed staying at Papas Cottage. Traveled to Hendersonville for a work trip that at a lodge on the mountain. They can’t allow pets so we booked here and we are so happy we did. We were 5 minutes from our work meetings up on the mountain but also 5 minutes from downtown Hendersonville and 10 minutes from restaurants and shopping. Even though you are that close, The cottage is quiet and serene. Every morning could here the birds singing. Very little traffic at all. We loved the fenced in yard and porch. The cottage was spotless and it looks brand new. They had everything we needed. We loved the area and when we come back we will definitely hope to stay here again.

It was a wonderful property for me and my wife to explore Hendersonville and Asheville. We definitely want to come back and enjoy the area again! It was such a relaxing weekend and this house had everything we needed. We got to cook meals, have leftovers and sleep in!

This was a perfect property and location for us to support our goal to learn about Hendersonville and house hunt. The cottage was in excellent condition, clean and very well equipped. We'll stay here again.

I stayed at this adorable cottage with my parents (in their 80s) for a Fall escape. The cottage was very welcoming and the owners were very prompt with responses. The porch and fall leaves coming down were an added bonus to the stay. Parking for my parents was a little difficult, but not for us. We just helped move their car in and out. Not an isssue for me.

Beautiful little cottage, nicely renovated, very clean with everything you need. Location is perfect. Close to town but sits in the Laurel Park area with a feeling of being in the forest.

Really cute cottage close to town and on a quiet street. Newly renovated and everything looks great. Super clean on arrival. Fenced in back yard that was perfect for our pups. Parking may get tight if you have more than one larger vehicle or two smaller vehicles (we just had a pickup and were just fine). We checked out Appalachian Coffee that was about a 10 minute walk and ended up there every morning. Close to Asheville and so many hiking trails and waterfalls. All around great trip!

We had a wonderful time in Hendersonville for our annual float down the French Broad River and at the Apple Festival. This clean little home is perfectly situated near downtown. It has upgraded appliances and outside there is a nice grill that we used twice. Would have loved the fire pit but the weather didn’t cooperate. We had a question for the host and got back with us within minutes. I would definitely book here again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Papa’s Porch. It was very clean and nice. The recent renovation was well done. Our dog particularly liked the fenced in yard.. The cottage is located in a very nice area and convenient to downtown and other places of interest. However, there were 2 or 3 negatives about the cottage. Parking was a bit tight for 2 cars. The master bathroom definitely needs grab bars in the shower. And the vacuum cleaner is heavy and unwieldy to use. But overall, we had a very enjoyable experience.

Very cozy cottage for the two of us. Nicely renovated kitchen and bathroom. Cottage was well appointed. Driveway was a little awkward but a minor inconvenience. Would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Location was great, I loved the porch, the flowers and the neighborhood. Inside top of the line appliances, which was great if you want to cook, but I would have loved more comfy beds and more comfy living room furniture instead. To be honest 5 nights stay and not one good night's sleep between trying the 2 beds. As other reviewers have commented the beds do leave a lot to be desired and we could never get comfy even watching TV in the living room. I know no one really goes to the mountains to watch TV, but there is no direct tv, it was standard definition. Thank goodness we were able to watch our own Netflix.

Perfectly clean and very well renovated home. We enjoyed the fire pit immensely, and sipping coffee on the back covered deck, while a hummingbird made it's way back and forth to its nest. Do yourself a favor and take morning walks to Rhododendron Park, only minutes away. Bring a couple quarters, because on the marked blue trail, there is a tiny water garden containing four giant trout that you can feed. Very cool.

My friend and I enjoyed our stay at "Papa's Porch." The owner was very responsive. One of the TVs wasn't working and he went out and bought a bigger one the same day (plus a lamp for the master bedroom). We enjoyed sitting on the deck and my puppy enjoyed the fenced-in backyard. The kitchen and master bath have been recently remodeled. I do agree with the LR furnishings not being comfy but we ended up spending all our time outside on the deck or the Adirondack chairs. Close to downtown and easy to get to hiking trails. Would stay at Carson and Paige's properties again!

Kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, and it’s a 5 minute drive to the nearest grocery store. Would recommend Asheville restaurants if you’re a foodie. This cabin was recently renovated. It had everything we needed for our mini vacation. The cabin was in a great location. Very quiet.
We rented a different location from the property owners in November of 2021. We had such a good experience with them in November, I reached out to them again and they shared this property with us.
We had a small problem with the internet, but the owners were hands on and took take care of the issue immediately. They also checked back with us to make sure everything was working appropriately.
