The room was clean and tidy andonly a few minutes walk to lots of shops and restaurants

The room is very small

Host was very friendly and welcoming. Happy to provide softer pillows and duvets after check in. Felt safe and secure with pin code at first gate, key for 2nd gate and pin code to access entrance which kitchen and rooms are off. Location very quiet. Our Host dried our laundry for us. On check in we were advised we could use kitchen & washing machine at no cost, however on day 2 we were advised by a man there was a cost. This was forfeited by an older lady when we explained that went against what was advised on check in, and who offered to dry our laundry for us. This needs to be noted on the listing. We were appreciative of the Host being available to do the room inspection at 6.30am on day of our departure so we could catch train to airport. Distance to the Termini (airport transfers) and train station for when we visited the Vatican City - 3-5 minutes. Distance to attractions is as stated - 20-30 minutes walk.

We felt €100 per night was expensive when we discovered how very compact the unit / bathroom is and doesn't include use of kitchen & washing machine. Photos on listing felt deceiving. We were also required to pay a €100 cash bond on arrival which is excessive. Beds & pillows were hard, however host did supply softer pillows when requested. 1 roll of toilet paper then guided to bottom drawer in bathroom which looked like left over rolls from previous guests. The kitchen is shared with another unit, and we learned after check‑in that there were additional charges to use the kitchen and washing machine. Because of this, we only used the space to fill our water bottles. Unfortunately, the guests in the other room left their dishes and a mess on more than one occasion. We cleaned up after the first guests, but notified the host the second time as we didn’t feel responsible for tidying up after other guests. We felt appointments with architects, etc., should he made when the accommodation is empty. We were notified at short notice, didn't feel we could say no, an left the unit to accommodate. Footwear same as shared in another review left in the room.
