I recently stayed at Victoria Nature Resort and had a wonderful time. The clean and comfortable rooms and the nature setting of this hotel was exceptional. and the staff was very friendly and I felt like home. It’s the perfect spot if you’re looking for a quiet retreat away from the Kandy city rush. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast and peaceful outside nature and morning walks. Highly recommend for nature lovers!
Here's a list of places I traveled from this Place
The region surrounding Digana and Kandy, Sri Lanka, unfolds as a series of concentric circles, each offering a distinct flavor of the island’s heritage and natural splendor. At its core, the Immediate Area (within 15 minutes) provides a tranquil introduction to the central highlands. Here, the landscape is defined by the massive Victoria Dam and the manicured greens of the Victoria Golf Grounds. It is a place where rural life and spiritual history intersect, as seen at the Bambaragala Purana Rajamaha Viharaya or through the quiet rhythms of the NLDB Mahaberiyathenna Farm and the various village walks through the Dumbara Valley.
Expanding slightly to a 30-minute radius, the atmosphere shifts toward a more modern and energetic pace in Pallekale. This zone is a pilgrimage site for sports enthusiasts, housing both the Pallekale International Cricket Stadium and the Trinity College Rugby Stadium. However, the region maintains its spiritual balance with the Nelligala Temple, a hilltop sanctuary offering sweeping views, and the Narampanawa Nature Pool, which provides a raw, refreshing dip in the local waters.
The journey reaches its cultural peak in Kandy City Central, located about 40 minutes away. As the last royal capital, Kandy is a dense tapestry of history and urban life. The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic stands as the spiritual heart of the nation, surrounded by the scenic Kandy Lake and the verdant Udawatte Kale Sanctuary. From the colonial charm of St. Paul’s Church and the botanical wonders.
