The White Hart

The location was perfect just on the edge of town so within walking distance of all the shops cafes and bars etc. Also just next to a large easy access car park. We had room 4 which was at the back of the property it is a modern nicely decorated room with sash windows a lovely shower room with shampoo etc provided and clean towels and white clean bedding.Tea and coffee tray in the room. Overall pleasant to the eye and a nice relaxing spacious room. Just if you mind noise it’s over a pub there is noise but not disturbing just the general of a busy little bar.

The windows look out onto a brick wall and alleyway down the side of the pub. There is no where to hang clothes except on the back of the room door. The bed is really creaky and mattresses felt dated no mattress topper or protector on bed or pillows and pillows old and bumpy albeit in clean bedding. Milks and coffee etc never got topped up so no drink after the first morning and yes we could of probably asked but got back late and didn’t realise till the morning when there was no one in the pub to ask. Also it’s a pub which is fine but no personal greet or goodbye you get your key and you leave it in a box when you go.we were fine with that just fyi to expect.

I love the fact that it was close to places in the city center

Old fashioned traditional style no frills pub accommodation close to centre. Room had ( for England) essential amenities i.e. kettle and TV

As usual for England relatively expensive cf Europe with no aircon or fridge. Room had been previously occupied by a smoker - cigarette butts outside the window and unpleasant odour in the room although no ash trays so perhaps a rogue smoker?

Very good interior design, great commute

The cleanliness left room for improvement the sheet felt stale and the bathroom was not completely clean
