It has a good location, is near the subway, has great customer service, and cost benefit.

The room could have a small refrigerator, which would be useful for longer stays

Die Unterkunft ist sehr dicht an der U-Bahn, wodurch man sehr kurze Wege hat. In unmittelbarer Umgebung gibt es einige Shops und Restaurants und man ist generell fußläufig am Central Park.

Besonders am Abend hatte man im Viertel ein unsicheres Gefühl. Das Bad war leider an manchen stellen schon stark sanierungsbedürftig. Außerdem kann man die Raumtemperatur leider nicht selbst regeln.

Cleanliness of the room

This is not what I did not like. Just as a comment, the room was small that was not so obvious in the pictures at the time of booking, but good enough for staying 2 people.

Location, check-in easy. It’s well for a short stay. We stayed 3 nights but we spent most of our days out. Perfect for sleeping. The communication with the host was good. We had already our trip plans but they can make some recommendations.

We could hear the guests on the other side. The shared bathroom was an issue as it was busy for long time when we wanted to take the shower.

Estuvimos en la habitación con baño, es estrecha pero el baño es grande y siendo prácticos tiene lo necesario para descansar y estar a gusto sin lujos. Teniendo en cuenta lo caro que es el alojamiento en Manhattan, éste está muy bien y es más barato que otros que ofrecen baño privado a un precio desorbitado. No llegamos a ver al anfitrión pero nos atendió muy bien y estaba pendiente de nuestros mensajes respondiendo a todo muy atentamente con soluciones y recomendaciones. Aunque Harlem da un poco de respeto por tantos prejuicios que tenemos en la cabeza y tantas películas, una vez allí no tuvimos ninguna sensación de peligro ni de día ni de noche. Puedes moverte por los alrededores sin problema y aunque veas personas de aspecto poco edificante, no se meten con nadie. Y lo mejor de todo es que la entrada al metro está a la vuelta de la esquina, imprescindible para moverse por la ciudad. Si vuelvo a Manhattan volveré por aquí.

El edificio está reformado pero la escalera interior parece que se va a caer. La ventana da a un patio interior y las paredes son de papel, se oye todo. A pesar de todo, vale la pena alojarse aquí, muy recomendable.

I love how the staffs were reachable and able to give clear direction and support on how to get to the space. A lovely gesture. The place was so quiet and exceptional clean.

Хостел расположен в Манхеттене в районе Харлем. В 5-7 минутах от Центрального парка. Рядом находится станция метро, прачечная, магазины, пиццерия, супермаркет. Хостел безконтактный. Это означает, что вы там не встретите персонал. После оплаты вы получите код, набрав который попадете в свою комнату. Я брала изолированную комнату. Она небольшая. В ней есть кровать, стол, стул, вешалка для одежды, мусорное ведро. В моей комнате было очень стильное отопление. Но оно регулируется самостоятельно. Санузел был общий, но в нем можно полностью закрыться и делать свои дела. Ваш индивидуальный код подходит только вам. В санузле есть душевая и ванная, унитаз, раковина для умывания. Так же там есть фен, который можно взять в кухонной зоне. В кухне есть раковина, небольшая аптечка и должен был появиться кофеварка. Хостел оказался очень чистым, так как новый. Очень понравился хозяин хостела. Он сразу отвечал на сообщения и легко шел на контакт. Недостающие вещи он почти сразу дополнял и даже помогал советами как быстро куда-то добраться и подсказывал туристические места. Близость прачечной самообслуживания было очень удобно. За час отстирать и высушить все вещи за 7$ очень удобно. Так же там есть на углу пиццерия, где можно поесть, и большой супермаркет с продуктами и нужными вещами. В целом хостел очень понравился. За свою цену (он был самым недорогим на манхеттене) он оправдал все мои ожидания.

Район не самый спокойный. Возле метро часто ходили бомжи и наркоманы. Они никого не трогают, но я женщина, первый раз была в Америке одна и меня напрягал этот факт. Еще запах от ремонта все еще стоял когда я приехала и мне нужно было привыкать.
