Inn a bit run down. Kitchen closed for renovation so no evening meals or breakfast available Parking was difficult as bit behind hotel didn’t belong to them

I liked the location, the bar and the comfy bed.

One of the main reasons I booked the Rhu Inn and even chose to put an extra hours drive to my day, was because their restaurant got great reviews. After an 8 hour drive in the rain, I was especially looking forward to settling in for the evening with a good meal on the premises. Imagine my surprise to find out that the cook, who had given them such good reviews left because of lack of pay. I was told that I was not the first disappointed guest who had arrived to find the kitchen indefinitely closed. Unfortunately the only place they could recommend was in the next town. When I got there, that restaurant was closed due to a fire. I was able to finally find a place on my own. Considering the inconvenience, the fact that the manager refused to give me free drink to at least ease the stress of the situation, seemed to be a very cheap and poor business decision. Room was fine, but not as nice as pictured. Bed comfortable. Soap in shower nice.
