A lovely cottage, that while close to the main house, is still so quiet and peaceful. Spent a wonderful rainy night reconnecting and relaxing. The bed is possibly the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. What a lovely hidden gem. Hosts were communicative and welcoming. Had everything we needed. The creek directly behind the cabin was so peaceful and beautiful, and added a wonderful ambience. Highly recommended.

The cabin was auper cute and located on a beautiful, private property. It was clean, perfectly furnished, and just what we were looking for. Esther was a great communicator and understanding when we had a family emergency requiring us to leave early. We will certainly book again in the future.

What a delight! This is a cozy and comfortable little cottage. It is nestled by a creek with a fire pit and a beautiful hosta bed. Esther and Kim are awesome hosts. They are very attentive to making sure their guests are well taken care of and answer inquiries quickly. You can't go wrong with this cottage.

Our stay at the Blue Door Cottage exceeded our expectations!! The home was immaculate and the grounds all around the cottage were freshly manicured. Esther and Kim go out of their way to make the cottage inviting. We loved EVERYTHING about the cottage and wouldn’t have changed a thing! The furniture was so comfortable! The king size bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows….well being a pillow snob and usually take mine every trip was NOT needed here. Best.pillows.ever!! The cottage is set in a quiet and quant part of the country. We enjoyed sitting on the porch listening to the birds sing all around us. We have stayed in many rentals over the years, and this by far was our favorite! No joke! Such a cozy place…we felt so at home here. Thank you Esther and Kim for allowing us to stay. We hope to be back!

Every aspect of our stay was delightful! The cottage is well kept, clean, comfortable, and private. The surrounding lawn area is beautiful. We were in the countryside but within 10-20 minutes of all the area has to offer. We plan to stay here again!

My husband and I could not have been more pleased with the accommodations. The property is beautiful, quiet, and peaceful, as well as clean and charming. We were surprised by the snacks and personalized written greetings upon arrival. Our only regret is that we could not stay longer. Thank you, Esther and Kim!

Right off Esther had left us a nice gift for our anniversary when we checked in. Cottage was very comfy clean and inviting! Contact with Esther our host was answered immediately. This little cottage was a gem! We have stayed at several VRBO properties but I will have to say this was the cleanest and quietest place that we have ever stayed! Hostess was very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this little cottage!

This is more of a guest house in the side yard of a home. Not secluded. Long walk to where you park your car. Clean, well kept, quality small house.

We very much our time at The Blue Door Cottage. The owners made sure to add lots of little personal touches we appreciated including a wagon to get our bags from the car to the cottage, bath robes, toiletries and a card and chocolates celebrating our anniversary. The owners were very responsive and checked on our us text to make sure everything was ok. The description wasn’t clear about the bedroom being on the top floor (bathroom on main floor) but it worked out ok! Just something to be aware of if you stay there.

Was more than our expectations! Very cozy, comfortable with all the ammenaties there! Did not need to ask for a thing! Beautifully decorated as well! A place to come back to for sure!!

The direction to the Blue door doesn't come at right,it had us all over the place.way out in the country. Then we lost our phone service and just had to pray we could get our way way.!!

Only 5 mi from Sugarcreek Ohio and Amish Country. Close shops, restaurants and quaint country roads but in a quiet park like setting. Enjoy your morning coffee sitting on a glider overlooking nature. Looking forward to returning!

The Blue Door Cottage was such a beautiful and relaxing place. My best friend and I wanted to do a girls’ weekend to celebrate our 50th birthday year, so we decided on a weekend in Amish country. This was the perfect place to relax, we enjoyed sitting on the porch, sipping our wine and the quiet atmosphere. The cottage was beautifully decorated, homey, and cozy. We would definitely stay there again! The owners were super friendly and thoughtful!

The cottage is beautiful. The owners did not miss a beat, anything and everything you need to a comfortable weekend Not one issue during our stay. If you choice to be out and about plenty to follow in the area.

We had a fabulous time at the Blue Door Cottage. The location was quiet and relaxing which is exactly what we were looking for. We felt so welcomed, from our names posted at the entrance to Esther letting us use a wagon to transport all our stuff from the car! The accommodations are very clean and comfy. Everything we had need of was provided, such as a toaster, coffee maker, and more! Thank you for all of the local information provided in a binder to help us know where to eat, etc. We highly recommend Rebecca's Bistro. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
