My Place Hotel-Grand Rapids, MN

The location was great - very close to the church for the wedding we attended. The room was nice - spacious and comfy. However, it wasn't very soundproof. I was surprised to see a door for a possible adjoining room. I think that added to the noise. The conversations the gentleman next door had on the phone, I think, could easily be heard in our room. His conversations lasted until after midnight. I was also surprised that we could see the light from his room under the door. My granddaughter was really looking forward to swimming after our busy day, but the pool was ice cold. Other guests told us the heater wasn't working. It would have been nice to know even we booked the room. There was no continental breakfast, but we knew that ahead of time.

Pool was freezing!! At the end of July? First part of Aug!? For $254/night, breakfast Needs to be included and a warm pool to swim in 😬

There was no breakfast. It was a bed.

There was a big bug in the bathroom. It might have been a cock roach. There is no ice to use. They say to turn on the ice machine in the room but it only makes ice once every three hours and when it does, it drops very loud. It wakes everyone up when it drops.
