Outpost Beach Hostel

-All the staff were youthful, social, very friendly and attentive. They sure know how to make people comfortable. Hung out with Snow and Skye on their day off to do yoga 😂❤️ -It is a very social hostel with lots of activities everyday. Enjoyed the karaoke night on the Sunday, all of the staff there can sing very well (everyone’s talented)👌🏻. -Great location, front facing the beach. Though when I visited it was off season and the beach was rather muddy in most parts. -Great selection of cocktails, my favourite were the tamarind one. Their fruit mango fruit shake and calamansi juice was my favourite! -5 minute tuktuk to Vanilla Beach & Zipline. -Beds were comfortable. Clean toilets -You can hire a lock & key for the storage under the bed

-To get to the hostel, you have to go down a steep stairs. Not ideal if you are not a “backpacker”. I was carrying a 23kg luggage 🙈.

It was ok, the food was a bit pricey for what I got

The location, no one told me there was a second entrance during low tide so I had to use the first entrance which is the only one with directions, and had to walk though the water with my suitcase. Also, why does no one accept 1000 pesos when that’s all the ATM spits out?? I kept asking the staff if they could give me change for a 1000 pesos and they would give me the standard lie that they didn’t have change, which I don’t believe as they only accept cash payment for food. And because the hostel is away from town and you have to catch a tuk tuk, you need to have 100 pesos change on you, but the staff would refuse to give out change.
