Chapel House had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Grateful for the basket of eggs , milk, bread, and butter. Also tea bags and coffee. In the centre of Bampton and I hope we can visit again next year. I recommend it.

No problems other than in the summer I suspect that the bedrooms can be very hot as the skylights cannot be opened. A great place to stay and explore the surrounding area. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.

Chapel House was the perfect house for a weekend away for me and my partner and my brother and his wife. The house is gorgeous and has everything you need. Both bedrooms are very comfortable and the log burner is such a gorgeous feature. the house is situated in an ideal spot to visit all the attractions of the cotswolds. we had a fabulous time and would highly recommend.

Chapel house is an absolutely stunning property and very clean however we all found the beds and pillows uncomfortable, one bed I could feel the springs! Towels need to be bigger, they are not a bath towel size. The house was extremely hot and the heating controls were in locked Perspex boxes so we were unable to change this. We contacted the person direct, although in the manual it says not to during weekends, to be told that there is nothing that can be done. We found this quite shocking considering the price that we paid and felt uncomfortable due to the temperature. We have since read reviews from a while ago about the heating and feedback stated that it was being sorted but clearly it hasn’t!!! We loved the property but sadly the lack of sleep due to the beds and a very loud boiler that woke us all quite early and being too hot and not being able to control the heating, really does let the property down and would stop us from returning. The village is very small and pubs were average, apart from The Plough Inn which served amazing food and picked us up and dropped us home for Sunday lunch, amazing and friendly landlord with a lovely dog called Margot. The butchers in the village is fantastic too! The late check in of 5pm and check out of 10a.m also adds to the not great value for money.
