Pride Rock Villa & Tree House

I loved the location and the ownders are super friendly and - not a given - she does WhatsApp, really helpful. Will definitely stay here again next time I am in Sigirya!

Not enough monkeys?? Is that a valid complaint? The dog residing at the property is a keen defender of the place so monkeys find it difficult to truly enjoy themselves. I like monkeys, but I also like dogs, so not really a negative. Just didn't know what do write ... nothing negative is the short version!

Fue una experiencia increíble. La Familia muy entregada intentando ayudarnos con lo que fuera y preocupándose mucho por que estuviéramos como en nuestra casa. Los desayunos fueron fantásticos, cada mañana nos hacia diferentes especialidades locales. Repetiríamos sin duda.

• mosquito nets • free breakfast (simple white bread sandwiches, egg, fruit & a yoghurt pot) • friendly hosts

• so many mosquitos (we had stayed in a “jungle” accommodation right before this in Sigiriya but the mosquitos at Pride Rock were incomparable) • bathroom window wouldn’t open so the room smelt damp • cockroach in the bathroom (again, it’s not unexpected for rural accommodation but never the best) • air-con didn’t work • path leading up to the rooms is slanted on both sides & was very unsafe to walk on as it was so slippery from the rain • the location was just slightly further out from town which was only an issue with some lack of street lights and a lot of fighting stray dogs
